Gameplay is too deep to have 'simple' controls.

Come on man, you knew that.

Also, what good would it do to show Blake Griffin get contacted an fall on his spin dunk attempt? Can we at least play the demo before we yell unstoppable?

Thats cool

Will probably pass on the demo...

chill bros...just concerned since that spin animation looked like it still might freeze the defender and animate him out of the way like in past versions, which would obviously be a bad thing. just going by how it looked visually, which is all i have to go on. making spin animations interruptible is crucial to balancing out the defense and is something that has been needed for years, so it's an especially touchy subject for me.

to those complaining that some moves are "too easy": i don't mind that some moves are simpler. the simpler the better. there's no reason to make something complicated just to make it complicated. as long as 2k provides defensive counters and proper physics to stop those moves, it shouldn't matter how easy they are to perform.

anyway, looking forward to the new demo. controls look sweet.

Re: NBA 2K13 Controls Trailer

I just got done watching the trailer and just got done reading this entire thread. As I was reading the thread I quoted some post to respond to, but as I kept on reading this thread got RIDICULOUS.

SMH at what this forum has become man. You never played the game but then you guys are a 100% the game will be easy to casuals.

Anyways the trailer was dope. My new Ethernet cord won't be in till later this week so I won't have the internet on xbox to download the demo. Damn I'm going to miss some valuable time adjusting to the new controls, but I'll have em down by the end of release week.

2K13 is looking hella dope tho.

You have the option of pressing buttons or using the shot stick.

not simple, but simpler... press b twice then jerk the right stick this way then hold x for this and that really?

Then use the control stick, it's far more natural that way.

Tap twice for hop step, back and forth for euro, makes sense.

Re: NBA 2K13 Controls Trailer

So why would anyone use the shot stick when they make it so easy to use the buttons;

LS away + (tap) B (for hop), + LT + RS (directional to shoot)
or
LS away + (tap) B (for hop), + X (to shoot)

Is that right or am I not 'seeing' it?
