NBA 2K13 Video - Developer Insight #5: MyTeam

I've had a few vague answers about whether or not you can play your MyTEAM against your friends' MyTEAM. If you can, this blows away Online Association. Love the fantasy basketball aspects and the tweaking you'll need to do to get the team you want. Unless you want to play an Online Association with a specific team, i can see this being a really popular mode.

Between this and the new MyCAREER, my social life is on hold for the next 4 months...

Another great mode added! I am not sure how much time I will give this but it looks pretty good!

This mode looks incredible. Can't wait to put together a complementary team and add on to it. Going to be amazingly fun. Literally can't wait much longer, that demo Tuesday is going to get played more than any demo I've ever downloaded.

The VC salary situation is great so long as it keeps things balanced long term. Also, actual salaries and the salary structure would add another layer but this will do just fine. Will likely play this if I ever want to play 2k online. Great, great stuff.

Definitely more to the mode than I thought. Will definitely try it out.

I think I'm starting to like this Virtual Currency thing. Since it's involved with almost everything in the game, it makes playing everything more rewarding as not only do you gain enjoyment out of playing the game, but you also get rewarded with something you can use to make another mode better. I think it gives the game a lot more longevity.

sorry bro this will keep me more interested than association mode. that becomes redunant real quick after the 1st season. This mode uses ONLINE and OFFLINE mode as well as user vs user strategy. I usually stick to leagues and ranked but i may give this a try

Haha, my bad. I just saw Corner Specialist then 30% and I was like, "What?".

30% would be ridiculous, anybody who is a decent 3pt shooter would never miss.

A few questions immediately though.

- How long are the games?
- How many players per roster? Are we going 5 deep, 10 deep, in building teams?
- Can you play exhition my team games against friends?
- I thought I read that you could put myplayers in this mode, how does that work?
- How customizable is the team itself. Can plays be assigned, for example.

This is a huge addition IMO, AGAIN great stuff
