NHL 13 is not even close to flawless out of the box. Penalties are a huge issue ( I hate the term broken, but the penalty issue and apparently non-functioning penalty slider will keep me from playing the game until it is patched) as well as near side pipe goalie logic.

A couple of posters mentioned this within a few threads, which is why I said that I didn't know if it was true or not.

I'm kind of hoping it is, and that's why no changes are noticeable yet.

I don't have FIFA or NHL, but the bold is the key to all the other games I have. NBA2K, even MLB2K or any other game I have doesn't come out with nearly the number of issues Madden does. Just because other games come out with some issues, doesn't excuse the way Madden is released.

This is why I hope they only focus on minor things that won't mess the game up overall. I mean I understand some complaints but some people want a whole another game. I actually like M13 and I hope this game is not completly ruined just to satisfy a few negitive reviews.

Never said or implied it did, just saying it's par for the time table of other yearly sports games patches.

The developers had the 'final' build of the game, weeks before it was released, so there's no valid reason why some of the basic bugs like wind direction arrow, assisted tackles, stadium sounds haven't been fixed by now, even taking the certification period into account
