TP is a much better finisher too.

This statement doesn't make sense. The attributes are valued differently for bigs and guards, so an 87 for A 39 year old Nash will translate differently for a 37 year old KG or Duncan.

This is why releasing overall ratings is bad.

Actually, Paker is a much better one-on-one defender, while Nash is a slightly better team defender (due in part to his ability to take charges). Nash is a better passer and shooter, but Parker is equal or better in every other aspect. Unfortunately, Parker being a below average three-point shooter will always lead to a less than stellar overall. Nash doesn't play enough defense or play well enough without the ball, an underrated aspect of Parker's game, for me to take him over Tony.

Umm, didn't he do that with Bruce Bowen? And that wasn't Danny Green defending Russell Westbrook (who had a poor series except for game 6) throughout the WCF. Pop uses both Leonard and Green as primary defender against elite (or quality) scorers to rest Tony or Manu on that end.

The same thing Phil Jackson did for Kobe with Artest/World Peace and Ariza, yet Kobe is still lauded as an elite defender. Parker isn't elite, especially when there are few at the PG spot, but he is a quality defender when his effort is their. The only person that torched him all last season badly was Derrick Rose, while he played all other PGs well without a quality back-up.

I'm not one to get into debates about Overalls, as my philosophy is, get all the individual ratings right and whatever the Overall ends up being, so be it. With that being said though, if all the individual ratings are on point, IMO Tony Parker should be rated 2 or 3 points higher than Nash.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Advanced stats would suggest you have no clue what you are talking about. Seeing Granger get cooked by the best player in the NBA doesnt make him an inept defender. He is actually one of the better on ball defenders in the NBA.

It's crazy to see someone call Granger a bad defender. It's like ever since his floor game developed his defense has become maaad underrated.
