I'm just playing on pro with default settings and the 3 penalty sliders maxed. I've had games where I've had 10 penalties called then I had 2 games where only 1 was called.

Not really sure what type of player got them. I will say like someone mentioned the penalties I'm seeing are mostly very iffy roughing or interference penalties. I actually had a play where my cpu controlled teammate hammered the goalie and pushed him out of the net by 5 feet And i scored on the empty net and no wave off or penalty Which was pretty ridiculous considering most of the interference calls i do get called on. I actually took a video of it and was gonna post it on here but I'm not sure how to do that.
I've had 2 boarding penalties 1 by me 1 by CPU and 2 high sticking double minors.

I play as close to real hockey as I can. I don't generally skate around like the Hanson brothers looking to murder people or anything.

One hugely annoying thing happening in season mode is when the CPU offers me the same trade a million times throughout the season. Even though I declined the trade, seems like the CPU keeps offering me the same deal every week.

Ok this is weird. It seems very random how many penalties you get and when you get it.

Re: NHL 13 Season Ticket Impressions

Played 4 games last night in BaP. Have to say that there's little annoying thing, but overall, now I have a feel every game is different and I've yet to curse like crazy about the AI sending me a pass 15 feet wide when I'm wide open. Remember, I'm playing with 45 to 60 overall juniors, so in comparison with last year, this is huge. Makes the game really fun that the flow is great.

This game, with sliders adjustments, custom music, commentators off is pretty fun. I was tempted to lock myself out, but the negotiations are going well and I might pick up the game on 11th! :-)

You know, the whole, "We've worked more on AI this year than the past three years combined line." doesn't seem apparent to me. The game is good, and it's better for sure, but I just don't see a huge leap by the cpu opponent or my own teammates. Maybe that statement refers to what they had to do to get the cpu to play a somewhat competent game with the new skating engine.

I disagree but I understand your point. For me, the AI completely ruined NHL 12, so anything that would have given me a clean game where the AI is passing the puck with more precision and don't do dumb things all over the place would have been fine.

There's a lot of improvements to be made on the AI side, but to me, NHL 13 and NHL 12 aren't in the same class as far the AI's concern. Then again, maybe it as more to do with the struggle I had in NHL 12 than NHL 13 beeing a HR! :-)

The AI made 12 very tough to play at times.

I agree that the AI this year has made this game much better.

13 is a huge step forward in just about every department, from AI to the presentation. It is in no way perfect, everything has glitches. But that will change with updates and tuners.

For non-Canadians, Tim Horton's is Canada's blue-collar, non-snobby, non-hipster, less expensive version of Starbucks. They are probably the most prolific food vendor in Canada. Named for a former NHLer, they originally were purveyors of coffee and donuts but have expanded to offer other foods and beverages. A popular local hangout for small towns, big cities, and a frequent stop or hockey teams and parents during tournaments and early morning practices.
