My issue is it being introduced as one of the signature skills.
My issue is it being the most gimmick based of the signature skills.
My issue is it doesn't belong in the game and is not needed at all.

We already had the resources to make it happen but they just felt the need to throw that 3rd grade gimmick into the game. For what? To make a few thousands kids happy?

I know they want to sell records but damn 2K. This skill isn't needed.

I think they mean players that go all out like diving recklessly for loose balls and sacrificing their bodies like Griffin, Nocioni, Artest, "Psycho T" Handsbrough ect...

nah ronnie said the skill name was "Hustle Points" which is when a player is more than likely to score off an offensive rebound. hustle points = hustling for the rebound and scoring.

I'm sure that signature skills are use the differentiate players who would have similar ratings in the past. Lets take dunk rating for example. Two players can have a 99 dunk rating, but that does not mean that they would dunk in the same situation, or even do a certain type of dunk. Lets look at two of the premier dunking bigs in the league:

Blake Griffin:
- 90+ dunk rating
- 90+ dunk tendency
- Signature skills related to dunking are: highlight reel, posterizer

Dwight Howard
- 90+ dunk rating
- 90+ dunk tendency
- (Likely) Signature skills related to dunking are: posterizer

So both of them are good at catching alleys and posterizing defenders. But Blake is more likely to do flashy dunk (windmill, 360, etc) on a open break situation that Dwight. I know we have dunk packages, but we could never choose what dunks they want to do in certain situations.

Yea and i think melo fits that category. Plus Ronnie said these signatures are to separate players ,therefore, melo and Kd cant have all the same signature skills, and that offensive rebound(hustle) one might just be the stat to seperate them. Even tho melo fits into all of the signatures that KD has.

We have a dribbling rating. We have sub-ratings via Abilities that were introduced in 2K12.

There is no reason to have this in the game for 2K13. It is cheesy and immature.

People can fall randomly and rarely by using the Abilities/Dribbling Ratings. Why not just use that, why make the game more arcade by adding that skill?

It is childish. I really don't see how that can be argued.
your right about their being dribbling ratings but that is not enough to differeniate players.

steve nash and chris paul should will most likely have high dribbling ratings right? but that Signature Skills seperates them because steve nash cannot break peoples ankle.

ratings aren't everything.

Couldn't most of the signature skills be considered gimmicky in a sense? We need to see them within the context of the game and figure out which skills are "pointless."

I'm interested in seeing the more defensive minded signature skills. Most of the skills showcased thus far are offensively geared and I want to see defensive counters. I'm just worried about an imbalance in gameplay....
