NBA Live 13 a $20 Digital Release This October?

Nobody knows anything about the game thats the point of all threads. 30 days till OCT 2nd and still nothing official from EA. Atleast give some gameplay or release date info because people will get their feelings crushed when they blindly buy a 20 dollar beta without a demo first. EA is about $$$ and right now they are going to milk live faithful ( guys who will buy just because its made by EA) to death with this game.

In my opinion NbA2K11 is the best basketball game on the current gen consoles and 2K13 does not look better than that to me.

So instead of spend 60$ i could spend and hour's worth of a paycheck and get live with updated rosters, online, a franchise mode, acceptable presentation, great crowd atmosphere and a since its not polished enough to be a full sim arcade mixed in with sim for and enjoyable experience

its a game the point is to have fun so if you can have fun for a lower cost than its even better.

I can kind of respect this but the problem I see with attitudes like this is if it becomes a habit. It's OK to be happy when you get something from a horrible situation but you should never be completely satisfied. Never settle for mediocre, the series doesn't deserve it and fans don't deserve it. I don't know how EA had NBA Elite 11 turn out so horrible but it's happened for the second time straight. Even if people do have some fun with this game EA still needs to hear that this type of quality is still not acceptable. The playing field should be a lot more even between NBA Live and any competitors.

o trust me they will hear people bashing the game. they are probably on here right now reading this. but the game changers should but up some good information that should advance the game.

and then i go back to the fact that to me they were trying to compete with 2k this because they only had 8 months to work on the game. so they build of the positives they have this year. atmosphere, presentation and go forward and we will see what happens next year but until then . i see no problem with buy a roster update with good aspects for 20$.

your loss bro, i want the best game possible and thats 2k13 this year. Live for $20 means that if its trash i will be stuck with it which is EA's plan in the first place so they can continue making $$ while in rebuilding mode. This feels like the NFL 2k vs Madden debate all over again. I was on the 2k side BUT that game was clearly better than madded and $20 less. If all you want is short lived fun then enjoy but i prefer quality over everthing else. That 40 dollar price diffence is nothing to me for playing possibly the best bball game ever made. I loved EA but like the old guys on this forum, its sad to watch them fall flat on their faces yet again for 3rd year straight. If you prefer turning blind eye to this travisty you need to become a member over at the offical live forum. Its dead even the head mod is under NDA and cant talk about live 13 smh

lets say this 20 dollar thing is true. the real reason that you and I need to buy the game and BETA test it. i know, lol why do we have to pay for a beta version? because thats what has to happen when you have devs spending months making a game. they have to get paid they have families to feed, etc. so it is what it is.

but yes you have to BETA test this game in order to break down whats currently wrong with it. not whats wrong with some video of it. but the ACTUAL GAME play, controll responsiveness, etc. if you play the game then you could say "ok ea, i see where you guys are trying to go. but if you do this it will probably get you there faster and with a better product." vs "live 10 was better then elite, so just make live 10 + more." stop that. time to move on.

i also think the devs rather have the core SIM lovers beta test it at 20 bucks. then be force fed NBA jams the 5 on 5 edition because they had to get the casual gamer to buy in at 60 bucks. sim vs arcade. there are less people that want sim than arcade. we know this for a fact. what no one knows is what happens if you make it SIM properly where you can do anything you want, it just doesnt mean it will be successful. i'm talking about not putting in 2k like stops in the game where it wont allow you to do certain things so it wont produce an unrealistic situation.
i'm saying leave it in there, and let real physics and game strategy dictate the true outcome.
i've said this a million times. i should be able to shoot a hook shot from half court. but it should be programmed in. to only go in 1 time out of a 1 million tries. thats the difference between a bogus game not allowing that shot at all to make it LOOK real, so you never see anyone taking that shot(because some people do take that shot even just messing around at the end of a qtr.) or some game like elite where they didnt notice the shot from halfcourt had a 100% fg rating as long as you release the shot on time. thats a lack of real physics and programming factoring in everything (where the person is on the court in relationship to how often that shot ever hits in real life) this is the kind of feedback they need. but i guarantee they are not getting from the AD council or these other guys going up to EA.

these guys are going up there with hoop knowlege but zero knowledge of programming. and the programmers are telling them "thats a great idea but if we do that we have to overhaul this or that and it may or may not work, blah blah blah. i would go in there. and say SO. TRY IT. what do you have to lose? spend the extra hours to make it right. because once u get the foundation down pat, everything else is easy(so to speak).

a $20 beta tester for all of us may be the only way LIVE ever gets back on track. that doesnt mean if you buy it you accept their BS. it means you want to HELP them make it better. now dont play it and no its not up to par but still act as if its a AAA game. that would be a lie. and that kind of stuff stunts the growth of a game/franchise like this.

i don't see a loss on my part. a game is supposed to be fun and enjoyable. and even with all the realistic features 2k has . it just isn't really that fun unless you got friend with you. but then you can get the same type of fun with live if you get a friend.

i always had fun going threw a live season. like a said before 2k11 is the best basketball game on this console i love it but. just because it is better does not mean it is fun. if that makes sense for you. if it don't o well it makes sense to me
