NBA Live 13 a $20 Digital Release This October?

I'm baffled, they are really going to stick with Elite.... WTF EA? Why build a house on quick sand? Live 13 looks like elite with makeup on, if you are going to release a update, release a update from a game that was good which is nba live 10.

By the looks of that video, still not a buy this year.

Couple things I just don't get.

For one, guys complaining that fans of the "other game" should just leave this forum instead of coming to the forum to complain and "hate"..... Also, guys' self-inflicted blindness, refusing to admit this game looks terrible, and to the enormity of EA's failure with their NBA franchise for the majority of this cycle, and are still, even after all this time without a credible NBA game from EA, broken promises for at least 5 yrs, will take their promises as truth with optimism!

Been pretty much lurking this site for years. As a huge basketball fan, I'm a fan of the game of basketball period. I've played Live since the 90's, bought both '00-05, '08-10, and have bought several NCAA titles from both companies. Just a huge fan of the game, bottom line. We just want all the basketball we can get, and as someone who really enjoyed Live 10 and became excited for the direction of the series that year, these past two years have been pure disappointment and failure.

It's to the point where NOTHING EA tells me will convince me, of anything. I need to SEE a competent authentic game that at least has what we expect and almost take for granted in 2012. I'm especially frustrated that after the promise Live 10 showed, here we are 3 years later.

There may very well be "haters" in this forum, but I'd imagine that most guys in here are in my boat, just frustrated with all the nonsense with Live thru the past few years. But I'd want nothing more than to have too many good basketball games to play (like '10 where you had Live, 2K, CH2K8 with updated rosters, and MM), rather than only having one real choice, yet again.

isn't that the purpose for a demo, so that user and try it out and leave feedback? so basically we will be paying $20 dollars for a demo...lol smart move EA i guess they trying to recoup some of the millions lost, but i'll pass!

This is sad. What was all the time and effort put into? I was hoping for some healthy competition. So much for that. What I'm hoping for now is that we're jumping the gun and the game is light years ahead of that video.

If this is true, Im not touching Live. I was hoping Live 13 would be a decent game, but putting at $20 seems like waving the white flag. If I were EA, Id release the game as FTP, and have DLC for different accessories, or modes. Selling the game at $20 doesn't mean it will help make the next game better, especially if Live 13 is as bad the video came out.
