There is but from my experience, with the right guys involved from the community, the results are IMMENSELY better with direct interaction than lists and ambiguous comments.

Have you looked at those threads? It's tough wading through them at times, no matter how much we try and "keep it clean."

Also, it's much easier for those comments to be brushed off than someone sitting in front of you, SHOWING YOU how it should look/work. I know this may sound silly having to do this to someone who works on a game full-time but after a while I'm sure they either get tunnel vision or the eyes glaze over and it all becomes white noise.

Community members who just want a better game look at the game and game only, not the code, not the bug lists, not the devkits... just the results.

And that's what the consumer is exposed to so that impression/perception supersedes all.

This is one of my problems.. yes community guys can actually focus on things but the problem is, until EA starts to take that feedback, it doesnt even matter.

Not only that, but that is not the only way to get the idea of what the fans want and what they're looking for. How many years have there been tons of ideas poured out only to fall on deaf ears year in and out?

I know you know this, because you've been here since last gen posting sliders for this game, and CV would come all of the time with some straight up real comments about the severe issues about the game and nobody ever asked him to come to EA for some input to implement did they? All of those wishlist threads, including the one up now, and except for Steph and Mike.. they never listened to or took anything into account for this game.

You could disagree but at this point all of the extra negative perception has been breeded by EA themselves. They've already decided... not making the decision to listen is to make the decision not to care about what you have to say, e feedback or personal input, its all been thrown to the wayside all alike.

Once they came on here and told us they're going for the halo crowd during the e-Lite debacle, they made it known they could give a flying fish about what the community wants.

There is alot to wade through now, but it wasn't always like that, that was created over time.

Ya know - I would say perhaps they had a small budget but they obviously had enough for the "Advisory Council." So there goes that idea.

There were a few others that cared. rEAnimator, stepsix... and blackflash add to your list.

I just don't know why this seems to be so difficult for them. All we can do is just watch I guess.

I wouldn't directly throw it on the devs though, moreso than the people making the decisions.

I do think backflash cared but he had a job to do, and he had to do what was asked of him. They had him in position of trying to do damage control and it wasn't fair to him, because in the end, it ended up leaving him out of his position... That's just not right

Reanimator cared to a degree but he didnt listen either... if he did he wouldn't have been so shocked at the negative feedback from the Venice clips. He argued on here for days (one could say that that meant he cared) but it was out of disagreement on some basketball things which im not sure they had a good grasp on... Even to go as far as to try to make animations the devil and then say elite had unlimited animations technically when that game was more generic than ever.

Don't have much on Stepsix's take and I know some guys have to be careful on how or what they say on the boards, but me, im not lobbying for a job or really looking to bash... but at this point in 2012 we are still nowhere

Pre alpha or not, 2 freakin years, all of those community guy emails that were sent only to be ignored then backhanded the community with that wack facebook ordeal (you know what im talking about)... I have a hard time believing that people who do make the tough decisions really care.

Pared the only time they ever listened, especially for me is when I wrote the EA Canada CEO David Gardner, and 3 devs Brent, Nate, and Matt. Unless we start doing start that with wishlist, etc.. its going to fall on deaf ears. AC can only do so much...

Heh - you said you wouldn't throw it on the devs... then you threw it on the devs.

There's not much we can do at this point. "Raising arms" is not going to do anything positive - they need to earn a sale, not us. We're here, basically asking for a reason to buy a game that we have no information on... and they won't give us one.

That falls on them. Nothing to do but wait. All I know is I will have a game to play that I will enjoy this fall, with or without EA.

LOL, well im not directly blaming any devs, I was just marking the experiences with the guys you named from the Elite crowd.

...and I agree 100% on your post. Im just saying, if you want to discuss solutions, we can do that...but when you're breeding ill will, its on you

and the people defending that garbage are the ones making it worse than what it is initially
