SMH.
Well yes. You seem to be forgetting the most important rating the increases the OVR is OFF and DEF Awareness. 39.4% from 3 means he shot better than Durant, Melo, Lebron, Kobe, Wade, and Love. Yeah, he shot better than Durant from 3. He's probably going to be getting a 87-88 for his 3pt rating. Not to mention On-ball defense can be a massive difference of 4-5 OVR points. And he is THE best one on one defender in the league. Lebron can guard 1-4, but he doesn't do it as well as Iggy can 1-3.

No one said anything about being a help defender. And yeah, it was expected he would take a step back in PPG because Lou Williams was out there jacking 3's, Jrue Holiday was becoming more of a force and Evan Turner was finally blossoming into his potential.

I remember when I'd only just look at Stats and assume they told the whole story

And Steve Nash, arguably one of the best 3pt shooters ever.

Like you said his on-ball d is some of the best in the NBA with 1.7 spg and 1.16 steals per foul. With Lou Williams, Jrue Holliday and Evan Turner becoming more of the focal points in the PHI offense his scoring numbers would go down but his FG% went up from the previous 2 seasons, and his 39% from is by far a career high.

I think 87 for a "Tier 2" player is pretty decent, he's not a superstar but he's pretty good.

Pippen wasn't a Top 10 player in his era? Just slap yourself right now. Pippen was a top tier defender during his career, and an efficient scorer.

Scottie pretty much averaged between 5-6 assists a season throughout his career, so playing with Jordan had little to do with his consistency in that department.

The 92 rating, which is based on the 91-92 season, is fair I think. Anyone that thinks he's overrated should probably just stick to arguing about current players ratings, not legends.
And I can't take you serious considering you think him playing with Jordan doesn't help him achieve his assists average and his defensive efficiency. Yea..playing with the greatest scorer of all time doesn't help ones assist ratio...smh. Yea playing while not having the main scoring load on your shoulders wouldn't help you sustain energy to play elite level defense..smh. Pippen was the defensive specialist so that Jordan didn't have to expend all his energy guarding the other teams best player...this is Phil's strategy and pippen has admitted this himself...what don't you understand?

The same reason why Iggy was picked up for the Olympic team...he's didn't need the scoring load and he was picked up for his defense mainly.

You're acting like I'm saying pippen is a garbage player...he's not..he's great...he's a top 50 player...sure...but that doesn't mean he should be a 92...he's not at the top of that 50 players list and those 50 players are not worthy of 95+ in overall rating either...quit bringing that up as if that explains why he is a 92.

Don't agree much with the ratings so far

Scottie Pippen - 92 (I'm fine with it, he had an all around game. I think that he couldn't shoot yet in 92, but we'll see)
Kevin Love - 89 (again, probably accurate. 99 rebounding, shooting and decent post moves. Makes sense)
Anthony Davis - 80 (Saw him play at NCAA finals. I guess he'll be like Ibaka in the game, similar rating too. A tad too much for both if you ask me)
Monta Ellis - 86 (Really? lol Then Ginobili MUST be around 89 this year. Joe Johnson should be up there as well. This guy is overrated as hell! That 2kinsider must leave)
Andre Iguodala - 87 (Iggy is real good. I love players that do everything. and If Ellis can be an 86, well. You get the point)
Kobe Bryant - 93 (He's Kobe. If Arenas can still live with a 77 based on reputation, he can)
Carmelo Anthony - 92 (a bit high. But alright)
Rajon Rondo - 90 (way too high. How can a point guard that can't shoot from close, mid, 3pt range, nor shoot free throws have a 90 rating? Will he be a 99 everywhere else?
Kevin Durant - 95(a bit high. But alright)
Blake Griffin - 87 (again, high)
Harrison Barnes - 75 (don't know the guy much, but if a player with no nba experience can be a 75, who will have to battle for the spot with Jefferson, why are guys like Delfino or Hayward, proven starters in the league a 65 and 67 rating respectively?)

So probably the rating sytem changed. I mean, pretty much everyone feels overrated to me lol

Please stop now...you obviously only bring stats into it when they don't tell the whole story...Pippen was the best overall player in the league during his Bulls yrs...& I'd say he was a top 10 defender of all-time, no doubt about it..he didn't have to be dominate, Jordan couldn't have done it without Pip & vice versa
