Lebron? (And this will surely get people's backs up) A big man thundering down the court at break neck speed slamming it over all and sundry? Yeah, seen it before. Charles Barkley Springs to mind. Shawn Kemp also.

Lebron? Big man setting up the offense? Yep. Seen it before. Nothing new here. Magic Johnson anyone?

Someone who can throw all those skills together? Scottie pippen.

I think Pip deserves the 92 rating, he brought everything to the table, no less than LBJ - who, I might add, does not deserve a 99 rating. That should be for MJ only. Bron should level out at 96 or so in my eyes.
Bruh, the only thing Pippen may have done better than LBJ is defense and LBJ can make a case for that. LBJ led his team further ON HIS OWN than Pippen did -- and I'm talking about the Cavs. He scores better than Pippen did. He has better court vision than Pippen did. He rebounds better than Pippen. Shoots the 3 ball and freebies better than Pippen. Now I'm not saying Pippen was garbage but don't even elude to Lebron just being Pippen. Pippen had one good season without Jordan -- and he was already on a pretty good team from the year prior. The next year the Bulls struggled and it took Jordan to save them. And... nevermind... lol

*And when you read this I need you think like this: I'm way beyond the topic like Skip Bayless trying to make a point in my favor but I'm yelling it like Steven A

He scores MORE than Aldridge, but better? that's debatable , 22 ppg with 51% against 26 with 45%, I don't see a big difference. Aldridge scores better and more efficiently from everywhere in the court besides 3pt and ft line , that's a fact and I have stats to prove it

Maybe you haven't watched the blazers since years?
More efficient? Dude, you do know I'm JerzeyReign and I like debating, right? lol. My guy... when you bring up efficiency please use it correctly -- in fact, I won't even post the efficiency stats... go find them and see where Love is. If having a solid mid range and post game qualifies LA as a better player than Love that means Gasol is better than both of them and should be rated in the 90s. And Timmy D still has some moves down there as well as Z-Bo.

But forget all that -- if you were rating Kevin Love, Pau Gasol, and your boy LA what would their ratings be?

Just my opinion my friend. Lebron does nothing that makes my jaw drop. And nothing I've not seen anyone else do before him. The NBA stars today are force fed so far down our throats as being bigger and better than they actually are, it kinda dilutes my love for the game. No slight on the man though, he is (as much as I dislike him) an incredible player. There's just plenty of others that I rate much higher than him, Pippen is most definitely one of them.

Dude it's common place for a star on a bad team to have high stats, that's not too impressive to me. Lebron had the ball in his hands 100% of the time in Cleveland to make plays. He should have high points, rebounds and assists. I didn't look at the stats, but I think Z or Andy had high rebounds. Also, Lebron played with all star center Z, Larry Hughes ( avg 20+ year before joining Cavs), multiple DPOY Ben Wallace, Mo Williams, Jamison and Shaq. He had a team my man. Don't believe me, then why did he win more reg season games in Cleveland than in Miami with more talent?

As far as Pippen goes he was definitely top 10 in his ear. He was the best SF in the league and took the Bulls to the ECSF to 7 games vs the Knicks. Imagine how many touches Pip didn't get cause of Jordan. Scottie Pippen could literally do almost everything well on the court which means higher ratings. You can't just throw stats out without examine them. Pip overall should be better than Melo, Durant, Love etc because he was a playmaker, ball handler, scorer and premiere defender. Only thing Lebron does better than Pippen is score, but Scottie's role was never to be the top scorer.

And yes. I grew up watching pippen and Jordan's ENTIRE career...I am 30 years old.

I'm a Cavs fan and they didn't suck just because Lebron left. That next year they lost Lebron, Shaq, Z, West, Mo Williams and Andy to injury. They also lost their coach and GM. So take 6 of the top 7 players off the most successful regular season team and get a new coach and GM and tell me you expect results. Lebron was the biggest part, but he didn't win 60 games by himself. If he did, he would've won at least that in Miami..... And he didn't

Pretty solid across the board. Love seems a tad bit to high but it's all good.

You guys dont remember what pippen was to the whole league back then? Did you think he was a 92 compared to his peers in his era? I dont remember people putting him that high on the pedestal back then...i strongly believe nostalgia has overrated him.

Not to mention..lebron averages his 7-8 assist averages while playing with one of the worst supporting casts amongst the jordans/kobes/etc....whike pippen got his playing with the greatest player of all time! You cannot compare both situations like you are doing.

I can no longer take anything you say seriously.

Pippen wasn't a Top 10 player in his era? Just slap yourself right now. Pippen was a top tier defender during his career, and an efficient scorer.

Scottie pretty much averaged between 5-6 assists a season throughout his career, so playing with Jordan had little to do with his consistency in that department.

The 92 rating, which is based on the 91-92 season, is fair I think. Anyone that thinks he's overrated should probably just stick to arguing about current players ratings, not legends.

How do you expect anyone whos playing with the G.O.A.T. to be a "take over the game" guy? Stop it guys. Pippen was the best SF of his time. You'd be hard pressed to find someone at his positon at that time who was better.
