So yeah..........
Exactly. 43% with the amount/types of shots they take is efficient.

Good question, I wondered the same thing for a long time on this forum, but then when you see how people react to these rating every year you kind of have a good idea of who actually know how the formula actually work.

Re: NBA 2K13 Player Ratings - Kobe - 93, Melo - 92, Rondo - 90

I just hope Deron Williams is atleast a 90 Overall ... If they are basing a portion of Carmelo Anthony's production from the Olympics, then I expect Deron to be a 90 then. Three point shot is lethal, passing, offensive awareness, competent defender.

In the end, the Overall (OVR) rating does not matter, that mainly shows the prestige of the basketball player. Even if Melo is 92 overall, I would still take an 81-83 overall Gerald Wallace over him. Wallace is the better player despite the overall rating, Melo just has higher shooting percentage.

Think about it

And he's 7/27 on playoff game winning or tying, so he definitely should NOT have any clutch signatures either . Carmelo a 92? I'm done. 2k needs to hire rashidi to do their player ratings and stop giving guys high ratings who shouldn't have them because of their cry baby fans complaining and threatening not to buy the game.
Both are wrong but I won't get into that argument here.

But why do people get upset over ratings like this? I mean, I'm not a quick ranked player so I can't really empathize, but if you're doing MP or Association just edit them.

There is some truth to that matter, the fans do have some sort of say in the ratings. Look at JEREMY LIN last year. Fans were baffled by new 69 rating. 2K rated him properly and his overall came out to a 69 ... but no, the overall was too low, so they catered the Knicks fans big time by making him a 76.
