I have seen this too. There should be 6-7 per game. I fear even with slider adjustments it won't get better since that was the way in the past. If they could get this right the game would be great for me. But I can't play a hockey game with one penalty a game.

Its obviously extremely important that the sliders "works" this time. And as someone wrote earlier the range should be larger than between 1-6. If there were a larger gap I think it would be easier to make the AI better or worse via the sliders.

I've had penalties in about half of the games I have played. It is a demo of only 1 period that only lasts a few minutes in real time. It isn't a full game so it is hard to say one way or the other if the penalties are "broken". For me I wouldn't want to play a demo period that had penalties called every few seconds because to me that is "broken" as well.

Here we have a latest excample. bwiggy33 made some good and non provocative points about EA's goalies and then suddenly Realm comes and starts massive 2K bashing.

Really, relax. Everyone here doesn't have to think that NHL 13 is a perfect game.
I couldn't have said it better myself. This is what ruined the 2k hockey forums and it's hard to believe that even though 2k no longer makes hockey games, this type of juvenile activity still goes on here.

Don't get me wrong, I hope it is finally better than past versions. I just suspect it isn't based on past versions and this one. There isn't many hockey games were zero penalties are called in a period regardless how short the time is. Power play is too critical for it to hot realistically be modeled.

i wish they had some kind of stick collision, a stick went right through the goalie and they showed it to me right up close from the wonderful view of the net camera

This happens every year and NHL 13 is no different. The more I play this game the more I'm liking it. The thing that I'm really starting to notice is the difference between the average and good players. I really like how with some of the average players you just lose the puck going into turns, stopping, and in traffic. That's exactly how it should be.

Re: NHL 13 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (360, PS3)

I think I am finally getting the quick dekes down. Go into a glide and go 1/8 of a circle left or right. They can be a pretty effective way to cut between a couple defenders.

I just scored one of the most realistic looking goals I have ever seen on a video game, I hope my description can do it justice, lol.

I came in from the left hard to the net with a 3-on-2, passed to the slot for a one timer, but the NJ defenseman got his stick on it, and sent it up ice. Drew Doughty got the puck just before it cleared the zone, "pivoted" a quarter turn [using the back skate trigger] to protect the puck from the defender headed straight for him, fired a slap shot. It went into Brodeur's five hole, and slipped out from his pads, just how it looks in real life, and into the net.

Wish we could watch replays so I could have seen it in the TBC
