You're probably right Mack. It saddens me some people will simply not hold this game up to the standards they should... This coming from a guy who played Live 10 just two days ago.

Wow, just look at this.. It's awesome! I like the gameplay, that crazies dribble moves and especially that "authentic" and identical mid and 3 throw shots. Definitely I buy this for sure, EA you can get my money.
When is release date? )

Not even sure it's worth one.

At least a Big Mac is satisfying.

This game doesn't deserve an 80+ page thread. As the Undertaker would say, time to rest... in... peace...

They have; it's just not to people's desires.

Everyone wants video. We aren't getting that. But to say EA hasn't done any damage control is a lie. This thread is filled with people arguing over EA's attempt to do damage control.

You may not like how they're handling it, but it's there.

Re: NBA Live 13 Gameplay Video - Miami Heat vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

Lol. Reading through this thread is funny. As usual with the internet, it's a huge overreaction. I went on Youtube just to see what the fuss was about. Honestly, it's not that bad. Does it look great? Not really. But I saw a lot of things I liked. I think some of you just like to hate on EA Sports whenever possible so a pre-alpha video is like adding fuel to your fire. I mean comon, why even dissect and discuss so heavily a PRE-ALPHA video. PRE-ALPHA! Lol. Wake me up when they release some videos of the recent build, then we can criticize.

But just for the sake of argument...let's dissect this video a little more. For one, the person using the Heat didn't really know what they were doing, so it looked ugly on that side of the ball. The Thunder looked a lot better, but that's not saying much. Kevin Durant's shot selection was very questionable but again, I attribute that to it being a PRE-ALPHA build. All the under the hood stuff probably wasn't fully implemented.

The court spacing for the most part was fantastic. A few times it got bunched up but not every play will be perfect. Overall it was nice.

There were also a lot of very natural pick and rolls happening. Not like other games where you have to press the Pick and roll button, wait for a big guy to run out and set one, etc. No, this footage had pick and rolls happening very naturally and fluidly, like in the real NBA. So that I liked. There was definitely some movement with a purpose.

The rim physics, as in the ball hitting the rim and bouncing off, was very nice. It made for some long rebounds at times, which other games lack. Rebounding overall looked very nice.

The presentation was solid. I like Van Gundy and Breen a lot, so that automatically wins points with me. I also watched the video a few times on mute just to pay more attention to the gameplay and not the presentation.

So yeah, not that bad. Got me interested to see some recent build footage though, for sure.
