I love this game so far. I have been trying to enjoy FIFA, but man - something about PES that makes the experience so enjoyable. I went ahead and got the PC version for the mods - and I will honestly never look back.

The gameplay is SO WIDE OPEN, the field is perfect, the player movement off the ball is incredible - the interactions - the chance of something random happening (without branding it like EA does in 13) is a joy of football.

Love this game, and it's just the fricking demo.
Yeah Matt I agree, I have played the demo alot, I don't think I have ever played a demo this much, a real joy this game is. Also good news, Demo 2 next week.

The new and improved PES 2013 demo will be available for download on Xbox 360 on August 28th, and on PlayStation 3 on August 29th. A Windows PC version will be available later in September.
Thanks to the feedback received from all our fans who tried our first demo and those who played our gamescom version, our new second demo is packed with improvements.

Not only has the balance between offense and defence been equalised, but our fans will be able to see the improvements made in pass targeting and trajectory, shot speed, blocking actions by defenders and even on the referee AI.

Our new demo will include 11 fully licensed teams and the possibility to play 10 minute matches. Also new anthems have been implemented for the starting line-ups and fans will have the possibility of experiencing for the first time our brand new training trials.

So get ready for our new demo and keep an eye on our site for further news heading your way!

damn.. I really don't have time for multiple games anymore and I need to decide on NHL, PES, or FIFA... and I'm leaning towards PES so far after I have played both the NHL and PES demos.

I might end up getting 2 of the 3... who knows... PES I think is going to be a for sure buy for me this year since I haven't purchased it in awhile. The gameplay in this demo is a lot more enjoyable to me than my FIFA 12.

I'm even thinking of getting PES on the PC for the first time ever instead of PS3... besides all the great patches available.. what else is better on PC? like how is online in that compared to PS3? can someone who plays PES on PC explain that to me on trying to convince me

Is there anything I should press when making a cross? I've crossed the ball 100000 times and I cant get my guys to hit it right. the defender is always there or my attacker just hits it very high. Same with corner kicks...
Thanks
a couple of things... You can try L1 + cross like matt pointed out but I haven't really even used that much yet I don't think. Also, it might make a difference on what pass assist you play on. for example, I been using either 0 or 1 bar and I believe full manual cross might be something to try for you using L2 if you don't play on 0. Also, one thing I do alot after crossing...I player switch to the closest player and use R2 I believe to move my player in better position to receive it.... that's exactly what I did on my bicycle goal I believe from a cross

you can also even use super cancel R1 + R2 to move your player while ball is in air to fight for better position

The patches are pretty much what make it better, especially when you can make the graphics better, like lighting and turf much more crisp. Also adding things like new camera angles, more faces for players, boots, scoreboards, perfectly detailed kits, tattoos, ad-boards, and the list just goes on. That is about it, the gameplay is the same as the console but all the little things the patch community add to the game add up. The console version is fine but once you get a taste of the PC community patches it is very hard to go back to playing an un-modded PES game.

Thanks to the suggestions about the crossing. Damn, I really need to find these little tips, I had no idea about the R1, L1, R2 buttons to fight for position. Thanks a lot.
Also, can't wait for Demo 2. Really enjoying the game (again, please get rid of the scripting). Played a match in Fifa12 just to compare, it was meh.
In PC, the MODs of the community make a big difference.

I think I finally found my camera settings that resemble my beloved FIFA custom tele cam. Here they are if anybody wants to give it a go.

Wide
height: 160
zoom near: 125
zoom far: 10
angle: 200
modulator: 63

**this is on PC using the camera mod

I'll be buying it this year. Haven't played a soccer game in a few years, but I have always loved ML in PES.
