the cowboys already have a QB. if a team has a qb they like and then have the opportunity to get the next Megatron or Tony Gonzales they will pull the trigger. especially now that they dont have to pay #1 picks 50 mil guaranteed.

Uhhh dude, Calvin Johnson was not the only one on that team to go 0-16, and you might want to take a look at his stats. Jerry Rice was the greatest WR of all time, BAR NONE, with or without Montana/Young. Gronk is a matchup nightmare and would still be a beast without Brady throwing him the ball.

You need to realize, it's just a video game. This isn't real life, you want real life then wait until next April. The computer drafts on their NEEDS and apparently the Dolphins needed a tight end first and formost. The CPU isn't perfect, and they probably won't be for a long time. That's just how it is.

The opposite sides of this argument is Jay Cutler and Sam Bradford. Two clearly talented quarterbacks inhibited up to this point by lack of quality receiving threats around each of them.

Only a few quarterbacks - such as Brady, Peyton, and Rodgers - can make any decent receiver great. Most of them need help on the periphery.

I feel what you are saying and I feel what others are saying too because it would be nice if they could add in "trade down" logic next year. So if a CPU team does identify TE, C, K, P, LB, etc as their #1 need but has an early draft slot, they will look to trade that pick to teams with more high priority position needs.

For example it would be sweet to see that CPU team trade down to another team that needs a QB or whatever and then take that TE with the later pick.

the thing is we dont know if they didn't try that. we dont see cpu trade requests. they might have gotten offers to trade down but they were just not good ones. I remember on Head coach 09 getting crappy cpu trade offers during the draft and just having to be stuck with a pick quite a few times. and when you get stuck you draft what you need or what you want.

now if we would have seen the user try and offer the cpu 2 1s and a 2 for the pick and they turned it down and still drafted the TE then we would have a real cause to complain.

I agree with you. They should add that in where CPUs who don't need the traditional #1 or #2 selections (QB, RB, OT, DE) they would trade down and accumulate picks. It'd actually be nice if they did something like the Rams and Redskins did BEFORE the draft.

But alas, Madden is not there yet. But I think they will be soon.

Tell you the truth, this is the first thing that actually has me looking forward to this game. I still missing the actual scouting and training camps you could do(from the looks, those aren't in this one), but this gives more depth to the draft. As someone that really enjoys playing in Franchise, this is definitely a positive. Even though they got rid of imported draft classes, which were terrible, but realistic, they improved the whole draft experience all around. I guess even Madden knows that Ponder isn't the answer in MIN.
