Madden 13 is a good next gen madden game. But thats not saying much, as every single next gen madden has been crap.
This is exactly what i mean. We need a hell of a lot more objective minded people like you and some others around here if we as a community are even going to get the madden game we want and deserve.
The way i see it no one wins when fan boys tell ea they love everything they put out but at the same time no one wins when haters tell them everything they do sucks.

I also dont know how i feel about the GC program anymore they really hyped this IE up and its so far let me down. I wish the community as a whole could get involved.

Some of the strides Madden NFL 13 made (the ones that are actually good like the pre-game cinematic intros and commentary and menu design and total control passing to an extent) are ones that should of been in Madden NFL 06 or 07.

The fact that people are loving EA like as if they've delivered great experiences in the past amuses me, because what we are receiving now really doesn't feel that special to me. Total Control Passing was in 2K5 and Madden NFL 06, presentation was just as good in other games, we had a good post game highlight reel in NFL Fever, good halftime show in old-gen games, something Madden hasn't implemented yet, we've had good physics in previous older games, we've had realistic running animations and movement (PS2 Madden, 2K), realistic throwing motions, individual signature animations, good Franchise modes (Madden 05 and 06 on PS2, 2K5) etc.

I'm not saying they didn't make strides or that the game blows. I just feel that what they are giving isn't that special.

Well you also have to remember some of these dudes are young enough to have never experienced anything other than next gen Madden games. If all you played were next gen Madden games. Maden 13 would be the best thing since sliced bread.

Yeah I agree for the most part. I experienced NFL 2K5 like at age 7 or 8, and I was so freaking stunned and pumped because of how realistic it played compared to the Madden games I had at the time, unlike my bro who liked Madden better at time.

Re: Madden NFL 13 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (360, PS3)

Overall, I enjoyed the demo. The physics actually impressed me, there were just some minor glitches.

Commentary: simply amazing. I love it so far and it's a fresh start from Gus and Collinsworth.

Real-Time Physics: I loved how they implimented it into their system, they kept a good amount of canned animations and built on top of those with physics. I couldn't tell you how many times a guy would get hit and then 2 guys come to pile on the pain!

Gameplay: I felt it was a slight step-up from last years edition but I was concerned about my QB stats...

One game I played in had both Alex Smith and Eli Manning completing 70-80% of their passes, and in another both had percentages in the 30's....

Does anybody else notice an inordinate amount of turnovers? I had 11 in one game I played..

Yes there are some ugly hiccups but this also the first time EA has used physics for their football games.

They never said it was perfect, and while it is far from it, this is a step in the direction by a longshot.
If Infinity Engine wasn't ready for 100%, then it shouldn't have been released, and held back until it was ready. Not implemented half assed.

I just hope they fix players falling over each other for no reason well after the play is over lol it looks funny as heck [in a sad way]. Like I said before if they tighten up some things with this new engine [limiting so much ragdoll effect] this could be a good game

Nothing that has been added to sports games in the past in terms of gameplay was "100% ready". Why? Since just about everything in all sports games in terms of gameplay features have problems and on top of that, the features get improved in the future iterations.

If you feel that things shouldn't be added to sports games until they are "100% ready", what sports games do you play? Asking since due to the majority of sports game series releasing every year, just about every new feature in a sports game is a "work in progress".
