Is it unrealistic to think that a "huge announcement" could be regarding a gameplay improvement? Some people on this forums are disappointed that the announcement doesn't have the substance they were hoping for. I think most people who think about it realize that the Dream Teams are just a gimmick to sell more games to casual fans.
Yes its unrealistic. Also that tweet you mention wasnt an "announcement." Someone asked him when the gameplay info would come out and he said September. He retweeted it so people wouldnt have to ask him again.

Again, you are the minority.

But I do agree him asking for more money is ridiculous. I'm sure ego is involved and the chip on his shoulder of always being Robin to MJ's Batman had something to do with it.
I loved those bulls teams but hoping the hex feature is still available and this one minute gripe is squashed in an instant

Ill create him if i have to either way

For whatever it's worth, I've used nothing but classic teams since April. And prior to that, it was just about an even split (between current and classics).

So everyone who is saying Pippen can be hexed in, its not guaranteed.
In 2k12, Van Exel couldn't come to an agreement with 2k to appear on the 97-98 lakers team, but he was still on the disk. He was hidden. Then the hex editors hexed him onto the 97-98 lakers team. Hopefully that what happens with Pippen if he doesn't appear on the classic bulls teams. But lets all hope that either 2k can keep trying to work out a deal with him, just like last year when they added LaPhonso Ellis late, and that he still appears on the classic bulls teams so we could add him to the dream team.

I'm actually on your side. I like gameplay news. I like watching developer insights. I just dont get mad when Ronnie2k announces something that is clearly for casual fans.

To the 5-15% of hardcare fans thats exciting, but what about the other 85%? They could care less really, but all these "gimmicks" is what really gets their attention. Like it or not, we arent the majority so they wont and shouldnt make everything about us.

Im tall but Im not complaining about lower countertop heights, low ceiling heights, clothes that dont fit me right because Im only in the 5% of all the body types out there. Sure they make stuff for me, but its not a easily seen or marketed as everything intended for the masses.

Same goes for this game, they have stuff that gets us hyped, but all the big announcements wont be for us per say. Marketing 101, got to cater to the largest market

That is what the Dream Team is supposed to look like. No generic shoes. Malone isn't ****-diesel. Ewing and Robinson have high-top fades. Larry is clean cut.

It looks like 2K put minimal effort into this "huge announcement". They just used old player faces from 2K11 and 12, same shoes from 12, only added Barkley (who looks way too muscular btw) while subtracting Pippen, and made some new jerseys. Whooptie-freaking-doo!

I am a harsh critic of NBA 2K because I love NBA 2K, kinda like a son. And so far, 2K, you have brought shame upon this family.
