Only one thing tho. What's up with the juke? It's rather useless and underpowered, can't even cut with it behind the LOS without getting bombed.
Yezzir, I'm with u on the demo being marvelous. EA stepped up big time with this and I agree about the jukes. They seem a lil toned down from last year in terms of effectiveness but what I find is that stiff arming after the juke is pretty effective. I've gotten out of a few tackles with it after getting caught juking.

I can't get enough of this demo. I feel possessed by it. The Infinity Engine is incredible. I actually find myself enjoying the wonky moments of it along with the great ones. Provides comedy. Lol. Love this.

yeah. same. Ive been very blah about the last...7-8 years. I buy it to play as my chiefs. but this year, there is new excitement to it. I really really dig this game and the direction its headed. it doesnt feel stale anymore, or hollow. announcers are upgraded, Im so used to tuning them out but with collinsworth I just couldn't anymore and wanted to kick him with his endless taunting. great move getting him out of there with the repetitive lines, not that phil simms wont get there, but hes not there yet.

I havent had so many "wow" moments playing madden in an entire year as I have had playing the demo in the past 24 hours. yes it can be really clunky after the play, stuff like that, but there are some moments of real beauty, and every game ive played has been a close low scoring battle. most coming down to last minute. my only complaints off the top of my head besides lighting, assisted tackles not recording in stats correctly would be with the AI's decision making clock management wise. Ive had to call timeouts to get them to think straight at times. I think if played legit, this can be the year of the defense with madden 13 at least offline. can't wait for the game to play CCM.
-should add thats using sliders, slow, 25 st. Tackling looks really good, recieving is incredible at times w/ moss.

Can anyone tell me why the receivers drop so many balls when they are open?
I was playing last night as the niners and Crabtree dropped 4-5 passes even though he was wide open. I realize that All Madden is difficult and I have not played madden since 2010 but why do my receivers have to drop very catchable balls. Also how do I switch to 2010 controls since the strategy pad is such crap, I never understood why they changed the audible system.

I've left several impressions here already about the things I like, and the very few I don't like, but I just found another thing that I don't like too much. It has to do with the stat sheet during/after the game. Say... you want to look at your teams receiving yards, and sort by yards, from most to least. Once you hit the the button to sort, it sorts them, but then resets your view all the way back to the left, so you have to scroll to the right again to view the yards column, or any column you have sorted by. Kind of a pain in the you know what.

Other than that, and the lighting being a bit too dark, especially in the Seattle/Skins game. I think it's fantastic all the way around.

Not entirely sure about this year's Madden. Other than the minor physics change it really seems like Madden 12 (which seems like 11...). I may grab this when it goes on sale but I'll pass on a release purchase. Not worth $65.

This game is just a better version of Madden 10!!! Why? Because Eli Manning threw five interceptions in my game just like he did back then.

Don't know why if the defensive shift and planning (pass, run, run left or right) was carried over from NCAA but the game adjustments weren't. Love having a conservative zone so my safeties don't get beat deep.

Have to say I've only played a game and a half and have seen some hilarious post play stuff going on. Like piles of players with rear ends stuck in the air and face planted in the ground or walking along and flipping over a player getting up. I mean a complete somersault over someone on their hands and knees. Hilarious.

"Madden NFL 06" was my last copy I purchased. After all those years I have to say that just little has changed in terms of gameplay feeling. It just doesn't feel right when playing it because it still looks arcadish and extremely artificial. Player movements still look bad to me most of the time which consequently kills the atmosphere. The acclaimed new physics engine doesn't really make a difference compared to previous titles. Biggest improvement: Adding Phil Simms. Commentary has vastly improved.

After playing two demo games, a few questions come up:

Why do the Seahawks wear dirty looking, grayish uniforms that supposed to be white?

Why do all players walk as if they have a bad arthritis in both knees?

Why are some cutscenes extremely choppy and uncoordinated?

Why do some receivers drop plenty of passes even though they were open, no defender interfered or hit them?

Why does the "EA" wipe appear numerous times but no replay will follow?

Why did EA create these nicely looking starting lineup graphics when there is no time to look at them closely, let alone reading the player's names, positions etc.?

CPU quarterbacks tend to throw unrealistic lob screen passes with little or no chance to get completed

All in all: It still plays like the first next-gen Madden and that's simply too little improvement in order to spend 60 bucks for this game...
