for me i think its great im seeing thing in 3 5 min games that ive NEVER SEEN in 20+ years of playing video game football ....all the way back to 10 Yard Fight for the NES....lol

i saw one tackle where I stood up Gore in the hole up the middle and the pile was moving sideways a bit , meanwhile all my defenders were coming in and trying to put a good POP on gore or whoever to knock the pile up to the ground...now that realism

i really cant believe all the negative comments about infinity aftter YEARS and YEARS of asking for a change like this...hey guys its the DEMO not final build and even if it was the final build it is soooo much better than what we have had..its also YEAR ONE of infinity...its only gonna get better fellas..they finally make a huge change that we ALL for the most part wanted ...and some people still wanna dogg them ...god damn day 1 of the DEMO ...give it a chance ..like i said before yea there are tackles that dont really look right at time but the amount of tackles aand animations that DO LOOK right far outweigh the latter..and those moments that look and feel like REAL football is what video game football is supposed to be all about...and in turn makes it all worth while to me...just MO

I will NOT jump on the bandwagon of the "HATE EA TRAIN" on this one...not on this madden dev team...NO WAY ...anyone who cant see/appreciate how much WORK and IMPROVMENT went into this game in one cycle, and cant appreciate their effort this year is just hating cuz they can

I got to play a few more games...

- I did notice the gameplay was kind of sluggish at a few points. Some tackles were really awkward. I didn't see this in my first game.

- Graphics are amazing.

- commentary sounds good but they still say stupid things.

Spent a lot of time with the demo. The IE does some cool things at times but not enough and often hurts the look and feel of the game to the point where the game feels/looks broken. The gameplay overall remains too "Maddeny" for me to cough up $60. Maybe next-gen.

Man what a long journey it has been from the very first Madden Football for Sega Genesis. I downloaded the demo, with a huge expectation of some new changes, and at least an attempt to make Madden fresh, and the most important thing was to make it fun to play/with realism. I do believe that Madden has progressed, The passing game feels tighter to me. It feels like if your receiver runs the route and you pick the right receiver, and time the pass you can complete a pass. I am not a huge fan of the new animation system. I have yet to see wrap tackles when a tackle is being made. I see things that are laughable with the rag doll physics. The animations just seem unrealistic and sometimes outright bizarre.

I like the presentation, and the crowd seemed to bring excitement to the experience. It does have the "on skates" feel to it at times. At other times man I feel a great response. For example, I made an interception and landed and right away felt like I could make a cut up field right away. I will have to put more time into it. I think that we will not have a GREAT football game until the next generation. I think this year we have a good game, that is still flawed but maybe in different way. I think I am going to try my best not to be so hard on the game and just have fun with it this year.

Re: Madden NFL 13 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (360, PS3)

Great Demo, first time i want to buy Madden for the enjoyment and not for the sake of just having it.

Alot of things guys are complaining about won't be on consoles until the next gen releases in late 2013.

I feel this engine is a base for building the game up once the durango and PS4 hits. We basically have PS2's and Xbox's so once that new hardware is in those consoles we will have things in Madden 15 that we couldn't imagine like sweat, field damage and Momentum/planting. And by then there will be an Infinity 2 engine with more features and additions to it.

We would see things like Actual injury visuals. Instead of a guy falling down and having a torn ACL, maybe you will see his knee give in and know from the start he is hurt seriously. Or maybe a guy gets hit and you hear the helmets collide and he is wobbling and you know its a concussion.

We could see a receiver having a realistic battle with a pressing corner off of the line of scrimmage instead of the animation of your receiver either beating the press or getting held down. Your receiver route will be altered more the better the press man.

Offensive Lineman can have individual coding to make sure blocking is dynamic and ever changing. You will be able to single out lineman duties and also collective duties instead of the bland and confusing aggressive, pinch, left and right line adjustment feature. Maybe set Your RT to Aggressive for running lanes or if your playing against Demarcus Ware set him to Pass protect mode for better protection against Ware.

We could see helmets flying off on collision and more sounds depending on the area of impact instead of the usual crunching sound every tackle makes.

And one thing i'm hoping for in the tackling department is a system that makes smaller players bump bigger players and causes them to go back or stumble or slow momentum. How cool would it look for Ray Lewis to get and Interception and Steve Smith tries to tackle him but instead of a cheesy animation, Ray Lewis stumbles and falls or stumbles and recover balance.

The A.I would be 10x smarter. You will see QB's audible frequently, Lineman pointing out pass rushers, MLB commanding their defense and Safeties adjusting coverages. Instead of the A.I randomly picking plays, you will see adjustments to a play or a complete audible.

Weight will actually be a contributing rating in terms of momentum changing. If i have a 175 pound elusive WR and he gets hit by a 350 pound DT he should fall or stumble to the ground everytime. This way the tackling rating would be for only rap ups and wouldn't effect whether or not a 400 pound guy can bring down Desean Jackson if he runs into him.

We also will be able to see the Trucking rating be more important. Instead of it giving you an animation of you falling forward, we will be able to have guys like Brandon Jacobs push a pile 2-4 extra yards. How cool would it be for you to run up the middle on fourth an inches and your still short but Brandon Jacobs and the offensive line just wont give up?

EA has unlocked a door that will lead them to the promise land if they do what their suppose to. This game should make NFL 2K5 look like Tecmo Bowl in another year or two. So hold your horses guys, i think EA will be able to easily add our demands once the gaming hardware becomes more powerful and they can have more creative freedom with their ideas.

Demo gets a solid B+ simply because it took them so damn long to make it play right lol.

Re: Madden NFL 13 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (360, PS3)

This demo is marvellous, I'm already completely hooked. They improved so much things that weren't talked about (like effectivness of QB sneak, goalline D, FB dive, fumble battles etc. etc.). The game just keeps me at the edge of the sit a lot of times and for the couple of wierd momemnts the Infinity is responsible for there are a ton more of amazing ones. LOVE IT!

Only one thing tho. What's up with the juke? It's rather useless and underpowered, can't even cut with it behind the LOS without getting bombed.

First off, LOVE the demo! However I was playing with sliders to give myself a better challenge and i'm still finding it way too easy to pass, even on All Madden level. I really wish EA would change the sliders and give us more control over the gameplay.
