What settings is everyons using?

I am going with Pro I think on either the wide or vertical wide camera.

I am not using Manual shooting. My only debate is passing. Not sure if I should go full manual or 2 bars. 3 Bars is a little too accurate IMO. Also, i have all the other AI stuff turned off like passing, shooting, slide tackles etc.

Just wondering what eveyrone is going with.

Manual shooting on; manual passing on (zero bars). I use the vertical wide cam pulled back 20 clicks using sonic's cam editor, makes manual shooting a real joy. I also play maybe half my games using the player cam with a locked cursor, also pulled back 20 points. The player cam experience and playing as one player is awesome, it's the biggest reason I get excited about this game each year. When you finally get to touch the ball it's cool; but when you finally and actually score a goal, it's maybe the biggest thrill one can have in any sports video game.

I've been playing with these shooting and passing settings since day one, and I only play all-manual on FIFA, so I've had plenty of time to compare the two systems. The manual passing in PES is superb and the better setup by far. FIFA's manual passing is very assisted in comparison; even with the Passing Error slider at 100, passes still auto-lock onto your players. In PES, it's 100% unassisted which makes passing a serious challenge. You have to take care with every single pass throughout the entire game.

I'm not near as impressed with the manual shooting in PES, and FIFA's system is much better overall. In PES, there's very little challenge getting decent shots on-target, and with any player at any skill level. I attribute this to Konami removing the Shot Technique modifier two years ago. There's no need any longer to position your player properly before shooting, which used to be one of the more highly-regarded sim elements of this game. It's a real shame they removed that aspect.

Thanks!
Some things that i feel should be tweaked for me to truly call this a revelation is on the thru balls it seems even when you switch to the closest defender and press sprint the player will not sprint unless you super cancel and then go again but with no closing speed with defenders its too late and the attacker is thru on goal. The defenders are in good position but its like they are nerfed in those situations and the thru balls come off too frequent as a result. I would say the ratio should be15 to 20 % success rate in favor of forwards, at the moment its the opposite of that.
The other thing that bothers me is in the way it handled the pass receiver , with the manual passing it seems it gets confused on who your trying to feed it too, most of the time its minor but sometimes its pretty bad when the receiver you intended just stands there or runs out the way while a guy from miles away is selected and running to the pass.

Fouls are called but like Ezio says it seems sometimes nothing is called , usually around the box and in the cpu 's favor.

Very minor gripes and its only a demo

I use full manual shooting and pass bar on two as I feel it is the sweet spot for the game with me switching between top player and professional difficulty. I still use the manual passing when needed without the assistance arrow. I also play on the field side camera as i feel it is the best for me.

Some of things I say I don't care for are, like some have stated are the goal keeper throws are really lofty and hang in the air too long giving it a comical look. Through balls and passes seem a little overpowered but I got use to them. Also I notice some bits of unresponsiveness to loose balls by players. Players will sometimes stand there or ball watch while the pass going loose off another player its not game-breaking but when it happens its annoying.

Also player switching needs to be fixed too, I would sometimes try and switch to a defender on the run only to have a delayed reaction to switching. Another thing is free kicks and set plays, this is something I wish really expected to be addressed already. I get tired of seeing a lack of action in the box or lack of men back defending for a free kick, this is one of most important aspects for football and I was hoping it would be better. The corner kicks are pretty well represented and but the free kicks do fall a little flat for me.

Also I do agree with Yeats on the manual shooting; after using it a lot I will say that when compared to FIFA it is a little more easier although it is satisfying I was hoping for seeing stats being a little more reflected with the aspects of shot technique and such but sadly that stat has been removed since 2012.

Overall, it is a very enjoyable game and love the off-the-ball movement in this game as well as defending, lunging tackles, improved animations, deft-touch dribbling, passing, shooting, and Player IDs but, hopefully some of these issues I stated in the previous paragraphs can be corrected in the final version.

Regardless of its faults, the game is truly enjoyable I agree. Automatic first-day purchase for me at this point. I'm staying optimistic that Konami will improve the shooting before release -- by at least by giving the ball more weight, movement and "punch" ala FIFA's shooting.

Kind of a sad realization this afternoon: I've spent months and probably hundreds of hours editing FIFA 12 using Creation Master and Database Master and editing team tactics and individual player ratings, trying to get the game to play a realistic simulation of football, but with only limited success. Then I fire up the PES 2013 demo and there it is -- everything I've been trying to accomplish with FIFA 12 this past year.

I feel the same way... PES for me this year, day one purchase.
