Re: NHL 13 Presentation Video and Blog

Holy ****. This is pretty much everything I've ever wanted in a hockey game.

The amount of improvements made in one year is insane. Just.....wow.

Couldn't agree more with you Footballforever. It's amazing that from the same company, as of late, we get gems like the NHL and FIFA series, we get hyped-up but ultimately disappointing games like Madden and NCAA, and we get garbage (or I suppose, assumed-yet-more-than-likely-soon-to-be garbage) like the NBA Elite/Live Series.

I know that EA Sports is probably the most well-known sports video game manufacturer out there, but I can't help but wonder if the EA Canada team has ever pondered about moving on to start their own thing. I imagine it would be hard to woo the NHL and FIFA licenses away from EA Sports, but hey, a guy can dream, can't he?

I disagree.. the game has become very stale for me. The amount of work they seem to have put in this year beats the last few years by a mile.

lets accept it..EA admit that they spent more time now in the AI this year as compared in the past. as mizzou mentioned...this game went downhill for me after 2009, specially in 2012..a complete waste of my hard-earned money. hopefully....HOPEFULLy...they will come through and meet expectations this year. OR AT LEAST prove that they were dead serious will all these improvements and new AI they are heavily promoting.

BRING ON THE DEMO

I think this is the opposite of what MMChris had in his article yesterday about Madden and how the dev team seems to have no longer-term plan and each dumps features and seems to start over.

The last couple years have seen the NHL series only make minor tweaks and changes, but they have been on a path towards something and this year is looking like it's going to be the payoff.
