Of course they have. They kid is an absolute beast. I won't dare deny that. And he's only going to get better while guys like Jackson and Turner and Gore will likely only get worse.

The reason I have Gore and McCoy at the same rating is while yes, McCoy put up better numbers than Gore, Gore controlling the ground game in San Francisco was a huge reason for the 49ers success last year. On the other hand, McCoy's incredible success last year didn't exactly translate to wins.

In other words when I do ratings, I always give teams that won a lot last year the benefit of the doubt while I don't give teams that didn't win the benefit of the doubt. But if the Eagles win the division this year (which I predict they will), McCoy will probably be a 95ish.

Clearly* and yes understandably. They obviously missed Shady McCoy make a legitimate claim for being best All-around back in the NFL right now.

And yet MJD is #1.

Call me a homer all you want, Shady is ELITE at this point in time.

Is 95 OVR not Elite? I'd say they did him enough justice.

The problem is we cant just look at last years stats. We have to look at career stats. And then there are rating that make or break every position. A RB, QB, WR, and TE that is 90 over all with an 85 awareness will drop to 80 if only awareness goes down. Then the players with injuries cant be singles out when they are better than other players. Yeah AP and Charles tore their ACL's. But i seem to be under the assumption that most of the time these days players with ACL's come back and some better than ever. Id be more willing to give AP a higher rating than Charles because Charles relies on his speed and cut ability. AP can run your *** over. But lets not forget. Take away Charles last rush in 2010. And he has the most yards per carry in a season ever. Last year Lesean McCoy had 1,300 yards on 279 carries. The year before that Charles had 1,400 yards on 230 carries. Charles has a higher yards per catch than McCoy as well. The main problem here is. The oh so great person doing these ratings. Doesnt look at any news going in in training camp so he can fix ratings on release day. But for my main argument with what you said. Charles has better stats all around than McCoy. McCoy just gets more touch downs because he gets the ball in the red zone. Charles has to go out and give the ball to to bigger backs because coaches seem to like those big backs in goal line. Charles coming off of this ACL will lose nothing. He says he is ready. The stories out of camp say he looks good. Oh and Eric Berry. Top 5 Safety in the NFL.

Forte is a more complete back so it would make sense that he ends up being rated higher then Mccoy.

you right i think it should be based on coming off last year performance since the game comes out every year. its too many runningbacks in the 90's and too close togetther, like a poster said above i hope they make the backs feel different from the other when you play with them. i think physics could play a big part in making the backs feel different. Hope so!!

No it is.

It was in reply to the poster who suggested McCoy at 88 with the likes of Gore, Turner, and below Forte.
