What's up with Live being off of the EA Earnings Upcoming Releases List?

It's not official that EA has cancelled NBA Live 13. They just may be delaying it, but there's no word that's even the case, either. EA has a slew of other games ready to go out, and still quite a bit of time yet before the NBA season kicks off. It's just now the first week of August. Until I hear otherwise from EA, I still think it is going to be released.

I could easily see this slipping to Live 2014. No way are they going to risk the disaster they had with the whole Elite lauch etc thing.

What's up with all this "cancellation" nonsense? Show me an actual PRESS RELEASE from EA where it states that Live 13 is being shelved.

Wishful thinking at it's finest. Is this what this board has turned into....a gossip site with NO FACTUAL INFORMATION?

First off... I've never been one of those who believed in this whole cancellation thing, but to sit here and act like what EA is doing is abnormal is an entire different story

From Earnings calls to Big Box store dates from game site to game site... no one has ever seen this before, man so please stop it with your generalizations... its really getting tired and old

I agree. I won't believe anything until I hear it from EA, or a very reliable source.

This type of thing is crazy. Fact is, we really have no idea what's going on. We're in the dark on this one. Is it safe to say this game is going to come out? Not entirely, but it may be a bigger stretch to say it's already been cancelled like so many are saying. There's no evidence that is has been cancelled.

I just don't really see the point in having everyone arguing about this when there's really no need to. The game hasn't been cancelled, or at least announced that it's been cancelled, by EA. So why say it has been?

Do you really blame EA for being super cautious about Live 13....especially with the debacle of Elite 11?

There's no doubt that they are going to get hammered either way - and truth be told, Live 13 is not going to get a fair shake whatsoever. It's it's starting already here on OS an a few other "blogger" sites.

Am I expecting a completely revamped game from EA and a title that would challenge 2K? Of course not. Nobody in their right mind (including the EA team behind this project) are expecting this.

So WHY am I so excited and hyped about Live 13???

Because I (bleeping) hate EVERYTHING about NBA 2K and I could never really get into it and Live 13 offers those like me something DIFFERENT.

Regardless if Live 13 is good or bad....at least this year I will have a choice for my NBA game. This is the exact same reason why I want 2K back in the NFL picture.

It's not about my "blind love" for EA....it's my desire for good, healthy competition and an ALTERNATIVE for the game consumer.
