no there was no side stepping. in all projects major game projects there are multiple teams. just look at victor lugo's title, gameplay designer, and Josh Looman's titles Senior designer and Lead MUT designer, the game modes team works on different things that then gameplay team. you were complaining about them focusing on game modes and it being a detriment to the gameplay. yet there is no correlation since they each focus on different things. if you wanna complain about the gameplay issues, which i am with you on, that's fine but to say CC or other game modes are the cause of that just doesn't make sense.

The most interesting thing from that "interview" are the little hints given as to what to expect from the future; that this year's Madden should be a cornerstone for the next ten years, etc.

If you throw that in with Sony's recent purchase of a cloud gaming service, along with the rumored 16gb flash drive PS3 super slim, a picture starts to emerge of a changing landscape in gaming itself.

On the one hand I like the potential of it all, as it should give publishers a bit more leeway when it comes to investing in projects, which in turn should result in better games.

On the other hand, what a waste this generation has been, bearing little to no fruit at all; except for maybe the fruit of a lesson learned.

Ok so I love the on the field additions to madden this year. But wow this CC sounds like crap. From what I understand its essentially the only mode between exhibition now. All in one.. but now it scrapped down like the first next gen madden, but now you can tweet about it. Sweet. Thats cool that it has dynasty with out fantasy draft or co op offline. Thats cool that it has Super star mode that sounds exactly the same. But I want to hear about additions, not subtractions. Things that go into being a general manager. No i dont' mean upgrading imaginary list like turf score boards and then it having zero effect on what you see when really playing. Like a play of the week viewable from dynasty mode. Presentation elements in dynasty without starting a game. Additions to practice mode. Making sure you can practice with your further developed dynasty team. Adjustments to coach focus in developing players from coaching to train speed, discipline/awareness, to strength.

Additions. Not Subtractions. EA has lock down there employees and pay them right, all there turnover is killing this franchise from taking larger steps forward.

LMAO

You clearly have no idea whats going on if youre saying that this like first gen Madden or that Superstar mode is the same.

If you dont like the mode, thats your opinion and thats just fine, but you seem like youre just bellyaching because the game isnt exactly like your vision of how it should be.

The game is far from perfect and likely always will be, but if people cant see the improvements, I dont know what to say. Obviously there is alot more they can add going forward, but this mode has a TON of potential going forward. They need to get editing rosters and draft imports back in before I think about getting it though.

My question is a simple one, and it will determine if I buy the game or not. In past Madden games I could pick the Chiefs go into franchise mode, and play several seasons. The Question: can I do that in Connected Careers?

Long time site lurker, first time poster so bear with me guys.

Okay, I'm a little confused on one point. I know much has been said about the inability to edit rosters and the only rosters you'll be able to use in CCM are the rosters the devs roll out on a weekly basis, but in the video above, in the LEAGUE SETTINGS screen, it appears you have the option to enter CCM with a set of rosters of your choosing. Did anyone else catch that?

So I'm asking... Would it be possible for me to edit the rosters for the teams as I see fit, save that roster file, then take that roster file with me into CCM? Is that plausible? Because if so, I think I'm okay with the game. If on the other hand the select roster under the LEAGUE SETTINGS screen means selecting just the different variations of rosters the devs roll out with... well then that will truly suck. It's important enough for me to skip out on the game this year if that is the case...

Yes. You just choose coach and it is similar to franchise mode

As I said before CCM has good potential if the CPU AI is smart in handling off the field actions. To me this is a big question mark since we haven't seen the CPU make great decisions in the past.

Maybe a GC who has played a few seasons can share with us how the CPU was making personnel decisions
