That's one way of looking at it.

The other way is they saved themselves the NFL contract and a ton more money by not going to trail and in front of a jury.

Don't know how much it takes to make a game from scratch, and I see that people are saying that 2k might not have the money make one from scratch. Could we possibly do a Kickstarter, or something to that effect?

It's been stated in a couple articles that EA had been approaching the NFL for years about exclusivity. I wouldn't put the blame on EA so much if they didn't scoop up those other two football licenses.

By Kickstarter, do you mean set up a donation fund?

As I stated in a thread here 2 years ago, EA was never going to renew the contract anyways. They lost too much money, but gained exactly what they wanted with it.
