From a graphical standpoint, those graphics are actually better than most handhelds. I'm a bit impressed. The drawing hot routes on the screen seems interesting too.

I don't care if this is new hardware, this thing is infinitely more powerful than the PSP. There is absolutely no excuse for that.
If you designed games you'd probably understand the limitations of new hardware. Optimization is key, and there clearly was not enough time to get it up to awesome standards. That being said, there is no evidence for your claims.

I'm in.

For one we get Franchise Mode and not Connected Careers which for me is a plus.

The player models look bad but from playing FIFA and The Show as well as other games on the Vita I can say that the most important graphics are the gameplay views, not zoomed in player models. The Show is missing some details like players in the dugout but it doesn't bother me that much.

No cross-platform but in all honesty that's not possible anymore since one has Franchise mode and the other has CC. No draft imports but no draft imports anywhere else.

I play The Show almost exclusively on Vita and if this is decent I'll probably do the same with Madden this year. The first year of CC just leaves out to many things for me to be happy with it.

Happy Gaming.

It looks a lot better than I thought it would.

More than one picture shows the sidelines, one of the shots shows the goalposts in the background, so yes, there is plenty of evidence for my claims.

As far as understanding programming... if you've at all been around this site, you'll know that I've done more than my fair share of defending Madden. Cutting back in areas is understandable, but to leave out things like referees, nets, and sidelines is ridiculous. We didn't go through this on any previous generations of hardware until EA became the sole football developer, now suddenly it's ok for first time efforts to leave out things that have been in these games since the SNES.

More impressions in the last post here:

http://www.operationsports.com/forum...n-13-vita.html

It just seems pretty clear that neither the time, money, nor the resources will be put into this version to really make it shine on an otherwise very capable piece of hardware, which is a shame.
