How do we know those aren't on their list of action items for M14 and M15? Like they said, they don't want to implement things until they verify that they work properly, and features like those would take considerably more time to design, program, and test than the Twitter feed. Such a simple change, but makes the game mode much more immersive already. It makes a lot of sense that they would lead off with that one, especially in the Twitter age.

The tweets is nothing. It is no different than the headlines or tickers in previous Madden games. But you have to be kidding about the half baked stuff. Madden 12 franchise mode is AWFUL! I would hope that there is no way that CCM is worse.

It depends on how you play. If you enjoyed importing classes, editing players, and playing couch co-op, like I did, then it's entirely possible you won't enjoy CCM as much as Franchise mode.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if CCM is an overall improvement over Franchise, but since I'm going to be forced to play all the games by myself I probably won't play it nearly as much. I've never been able to get into playing a solo Franchise I always get bored a few years in, but I used to finish several seasons playing couch co-op.

Long term I think CCM could be an excellent mode, I just hope EA doesn't make us wait too long before they add the M12 offline Franchise features.

You might not get bored playing a solo franchise with the new CCM as you did with the boring franchise modes of the past.

Time will tell.

If the CC cake were "fully-baked", it wouldn't be missing delicious key ingredients like custom rosters, editing players and NCAA importing. CC is indeed "half baked".

To continue with the cake analogies, what would that make M12's franchise? "Fully-baked" but with zero taste?

I didn't defend the previous Madden franchise mode. It is boring. Having said that, I do not believe that a half-baked CC mode is any improvement whatsoever. I won't be buying the new cake until it includes more of the important ingredients that people are used to. Luckily, I never bought Madden 12, so at $11 from Amazon, it will be good for a while. But frankly, I'll probably still be spending most of my time playing another football game that did indeed have an awesome franchise mode 8 years ago.

I agree, previous versions of offline franchise were boring, but only because it lacked in the areas that other games did so well, like halftime/weekly wrap up shows with highlights. I never thought anyone would consider a fake twitter feed (or even a real one) immersive (Social media...ugh next year there will be fake facebook and instagram j/k). I don't know how CC (offline) is supposed to be better.
