lol........if you're completely ignorant maybe.

Friends and family members will always gather together to play games and the intent will never change that. Eliminating Offline modes that are used by people to connect in person is extremely ignorant IMO and taking the game purely towards online will eventually lead to year after year revenue losses IMO.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the comeback of features that are missing from 13 once sales numbers come in. I think even with the great new things that have been added, Madden 13 will be a less than stellar selling title.

This situation reminds me a lot when next gen Madden was rolled out in 2006. The new game for the new system was hyped and people were jacked up for it only to be bitterly disappointed. I stuck with the PS2 version of the game through Madden 08 and didn't bother buying any next gen Maddens until Madden 11. If Madden history has taught me anything it's to temper expectations and be patient and save my money until the game reaches the point I'd likely enjoy it rather than be disappointed and bitter.
Same here the PS3 version didn't catch up let alone overtake the PS2 version til M10 and now the career mode (whilst improving in some ways and promising a better tomorrow yet again) has gone back to being bare bones with options not aivailable that are taken for granted in other games in this day and age
I wish just for once they would surprise me and give me more than I expected instead of less

Bare bones? Madden 12 franchise has NOTHING to do except playing games. There is hardly any coaching or GM functionality at all. How could it be any worse?

It could be CC. Connected careers is like a locked down phone. Madden 12 was like an unlocked rooted smart phone. Who cares if its newer; why would i as a consumer want to pay money to go backwords.

I enjoy gathering with friends to play games more than anyone, Everyone remembers HALO Lans, how many of those will occur with Halo4?

Not arrogant its just whats happening, Its called skating to where the puck is going not where it is or was.

Yes M14 will likely add multiple users in one console or team but Looman has said it needs to be done right.

Even for OS i thought the future of multiplayer wouldnt get heat.

PS.

I'll never buy another Madden at Full price as long as EA is forcing me to use Donny Moore's Rosters in MY Franchise.........

Yes I hate his ratings that much

I can't even get past that let alone if the other CPU Logic Shenanigans started up and I couldn't fix it

To me without the features we lost this year, the game might just as well have one mode....offline/Online Play Now and Id still have a hard time justifying full price for that even if I got every single one of my Gameplay Desires added into the game

There's a big difference between an M-rated FPS and an E-rated sports title. Sports titles are perfectly designed to be played locally. These are games that can played by any age group and are often played by people who live together. Now the only way for these people to play together is Play Now mode.

Also I believe in Halo 4 it will still be possible to play the story with a friend through couch co-op. And unless they've changed things since Halo 3 we'll still be able to have guests play online as well. Which is far better than what Madden 13 will be offering.

Re: Sound Off: Has the 'Closed' Nature of Connected Careers Turned You Away?

They are full of themselves saying they cannot add coop in CC. They have it in Play Now so it cannot be that difficult. Coop was the only thing I ever played and have done so for 20 years. That's all they had to have to keep me interested and they couldn't even do that. Probably could add it easily still, but the ignorant dictators won't.

Sorry, they stripped the game completely. Also, imagine being the 49ers and getting a QB with the #16, or the Bears and having a Running Back with #34...That's just wrong. They took away the customization and turned it into their experience without any capability of personalizing it or playing on the same team with a family member.

They F***ed up!!!!!
