how do you fix bugs now? you don't.. you wait for a patch. Now i understand the frustration of relying on one single person's opinion for a roster... i get that part.

Have you even read all the aspects about how you get to control progression of your players and dictate your style as a franchise. All the RPG elements give you WAY more control than you have ever had in how your franchise develops. I think you need to read more about CCM... i don't think you fully understand the game mode.

I'm 37 years old with wife, two kids a full time job and very active in my community. I have friends all over this world, both real and virtual.. i can tell some of the best friends i have ever hung out with i met in online leagues. Don't knock it until you've tried it... Friends are friends no matter how you make them.

Getting the franchise options online was a huge goal for them this year. They also wanted to get Superstar mode upgraded and propel it further than other POV game modes. Thus now you have them all in one mode, but like i said, you never see the superstar stuff if you choose coach in the beginning.

IMO the good outweighs the bad.. it's just an opinion though.
Ryno I Respect what u do and i Understand that u C'ant have everything in a game I have played Madden since 1993 we are not mad at the new things in the game I have used 32 Team Control since Madden 2002 for the PS2 and i Love IT because I can make it like real life and i have Edited since Madden 2004 because in 2002 and 2003 u could not edit without messing the salary caps the 3 modes in 1 sound great on paper i just feel that it should had waited until Madden 14 that all

I guess they "disagreed" this year........The most frustrating part of Madden over the years is the schizophrenic approach to building these games. You literally do not know what to expect year to year. Great feature in one year, out the next back three years from now etc....... and now the news that you cant play any other games in CC besides your team...... but they have generic twitter feeds...so we got that goin for us.....
Great points.......And people wonder why others get upset and then they defend the development decisions that completely contradict what was a priority and important to the customer just 12 months prior.

Do the customers flip flop on what they feel is important or does EA just completely turn their back to their own customers?

As a matter of fact you have done that but that's your right.

Ditto for everyone else on OS.
I have no knowledge of such behavior.

He flip flops. He has flip flopped for years. Idk why, maybe he says whatever he thinks will get him more hits on his website. But the flip flopping makes him hardly reliable in his reflections and I wouldn't take his opinions seriously whether he loved the game or hated it.

Re: Madden NFL 13 Roster Editing Clarification

After reading through this thread, something has finally hit me. EA decided to combine Franchise Mode & SS mode and think that it is one big improvement and the greatest thing ever. Yet. previously we have been able to combine those modes ourselves. We could go in and create players, and put our created player on whatever team and bam, Franchise and SS are combined. There was no need for all of this. Plus with the Draft Classes in Franchise Mode, if we wanted to make ourselves, we could.

All we would have to do is choose a player, keep track of where he was drafted(first round, mid-round, undrafted, the stories they "added") and change his name to your name and have SS mode and Franchise Mode combined through create a player or editing the name of any player from the draft classes. There was no need to combine the modes when we already could do that.

Also didn't someone say that they doubled the amount of people working on Madden? So why combine the modes in the first place? Just to take the easy way out of things. If you doubled your staff or tripled your staff it allows EA to specifically have people working on Offline Franchise, another set of people working on Online Franchise specifically and another group specifically working on Superstar Mode. So EA took the easy way out and combines the modes instead of working with those modes individually.

I agree with the first part of your post but I certainly don't think combining the modes to create a new one was "the easy way out"... I just believe they got caught on how great the idea looked on paper and just continued with it without really seeing how it would end up affecting a big feature of their most popular mode.
