So basically offline/online switched places. (Could argue that offline is worse) And now "its okay" cause we're all moving forward together? lol.
No, that's not what I said at all. You are so hung up on the online vs. offline that you are choosing only to see what you think you want to and not what I am saying. I have never advocated one over the other. I was always pushing for a united experience where there was simply a franchise mode and you could play online with friends or by yourself. Everything should work the same.

I'm not going to argue with you because it doesn't matter what is said here, you will continue to feel that your mode is all that matters and the reason why you lost what you liked was because of the "online" community. I'm here to tell you that is not correct, but that doesn't matter because you are hell bent on seeing it how you want to.

TAKING AWAY FEATURES FOR ANY GAME MODE SHOULD NOT BE ACCEPTABLE. PERIOD.

It has nothing to do with online or offline or the facet of the game that it was taken from. It should not occur if it doesn't have to. It will continue to happen when only one game is being produced. The only reason why some folks like Big and a few others brought up the online crowd and how we felt was to let you know that there are others who do not play the game the way you do that can empathize with you. Instead, you are looking at it from the "I told you so" point of view. Couldn't be further from the truth. When things are absent from the game after they were there, it affects people the same way. Your situation is not unique to what Tiburon has been doing to many other football gamers for years. It does not make it any more acceptable regardless of the piece of the game that was removed.

But do you really think offline players don't know what it's like to be limited? We just got back some of the features we had for years in 12 and that STILL doesn't equate to where Madden should be or even was at one point.

Point being, with Madden, no one has really "won" for quite some time. If we come together on any point, it should be that Madden has failed to strike a balance for their consumers and there shouldn't be any reason to have "sides" in the first place. CCM may indeed remedy that in the future, but IMO, where EA dropped the ball is that rather than bring everyone UP to the same standard of control and options, they simply lowered the bar. That's why I'm disappointed in 13. We'll see how it goes in the future though.
Very Well Said

Yep we should be pushing them to do more in all areas...

Every time someone has a gripe about AI, logic, or franchise, there's always people who will say "then stop playing the CPU...". I just don't think that proves much other than that's the nature of message boards, unfortunately...people generalize and "take sides" to make points. In any event, the point is that some single-minded gamers on either side shouldn't be central to anyone's rationale on why this is or isn't okay.

BTW, I'm not coming at you or anything. Again, I see your points...I just completely disagree with your rationale that I needed to learn my lesson...lol. Let me also clarify that I'm not advocating that they should have not done CCM at all, because then we'd be in the same loop of issues (and online players would be left in the cold again, which simply shifts the problem to a different group). My point is this process of having to sacrifice from one thing in order to pay for another in this series has gotten pretty old.
Great post and I could not agree more.

Question for those that play other sports games, because I'm mostly only an NFL guy...

Do other companies who make basketball, hockey, soccer, and baseball games remove features or often announce an inability to get something in a game (or back in a game)? I honestly don't know if this is a Madden thing, or if it's typical of games that get released every year and are on a tighter schedule than say, Call of Duty, where two companies trade off releasing a new game each year, giving them two years to develop the final product.

There are no work arounds for Offline franchises they want to edit, import, control +1 team, or even watch another game. None.

You guys can be happy you got your online ish in the game. But this perspective of "now you know how we feel"/"told you so" isn't as uniting as you'd think. I personally don't care about online, so I prolly didn't/wouldn't even comment. Please do the same, as I don't see the purpose otherwise.
I don't understand why some people seem to have attached a stigma of some sort to "online". All it means is playing the game over the internets opposed to on the same console. IMO, this ridiculous notion that online play is synonymous with "cheese" and gamers that have a totally different goal when playing the game than offline gamers, has no merit. Utilizing an online connection to play Madden against other people around the nation, does not predisposition a gamer to a certain playstyle. Online is not the same moniker as causal, tourney or sim gamers, it just means playing over the internet.

Madden now has one CCM mode and its' applicable features that have online, ie internet, integration, that gamers can choose to use or not. CCM is online integrated so any features included in that mode should be too, imo. So until imported draft classes, player editing and 32 team control from one console/profile can be somehow online integrated, they have been left out of this online integrated mode.

There is no more improving Franchise separately for offline and online gamers, it's just improving one CCM for everybody.

I'm over 50. I'll be in the nursing home with dementia. I'm really upset at this almost lost decade.

If you look at game changers ideas, it shows that Fantasy Draft is above editing.. I hope they don't implement that before editing...
