Thanks a lot as this is very helpful. One last question, if I create-a-player and he is under 25 will his contract be renewable if it states he has a one year contract or will he go to free agency?

If you use the Opening Day rosters you can export 2B Rougned Odor and import him in the Catcher Mendoca's place. Odor currently plays for Texas in Single A as a 2B.

one more thing, seems like Padres #1 prospect Rymer Liriano has been taken out of this new set, as has Austin Hedges. Didn't see them in the FA pool, I'll import them back in.

Yikes, that's a pretty significant change. I'm all for having accurate AAA and AA rosters, but not if it means removing an organization's top prospects for some scrubs who at best might only get a cup of coffee.

Edit:

Cody Buckel is missing...

Jason Esposito, Nick Delmonico, Jose Campos, Ryan Brett, Yordano Ventura, etc. are all well regarded prospects and are missing...

I know it's impossible to get every player in, but using the Orioles as an example, Zach Booker (???) was included even though he hasn't even played this year and has a combined total of 6 games played since 2009... That's just odd to me. Speaking of Baltimore, Rich Rundles has never played for a Baltimore affiliate and he was put in the Class-A roster - Maybe replace Rundles and Booker with Esposito and Delmonico?

LOL...the purpose of these releases is as accurate as possible AAA and AA......not Top prospects in lower levels...sometimes when replacing a player its not just the potential that comes in play(example you need 2 catchers at each level otherwise I would replace most of the crappy D and F rated catchers with top prospects but that would in effect "break" the game)..but what do I know I only put hundreds of hours into this set .....use the set or dont...no ones forcing anyones hand...As a matter of fact I dont like alot of the variation sets out there...the pitch edits etc..BUT...I dont say a word..to each his own.....

PS Rundles is a guy with ML service time who was signed to play in AAA within the last 10 days ..hence he is in this set.

Thanks for your time

Then why not replace Matt Hobgood? Hasn't made it out of A Ball and is out for the year, perfect candidate for replacement.

I don't see how the "break the game" argument is even valid, since you aren't adding top prospects, your replacing them with AAA scrubs. Only Rymer Liriano had an A potential and deservedly so, he's a top 100 prospect. Donavan Tate would have been a better choice: Lower level, lower ceiling, older, etc.

I'm not trying to start a fight or anything like that, so I'll leave it at that, but to say you don't like the pitch edits when one of the main complaints about the game is the lack of realistic repertoires is a head scratcher lol, especially since the Andy Pettitte and Jamie Moyer you used have my pitch edits
