Just my 2-Cents though.
I agree regarding editing and real players, but numbers and equipment at least for me, will always bothers...

Numbers and equipment are my big issues too. I can live without ratings, but I can't live with signing a veteran and not being able to give him his number. I can't live with the big retired numbers being used.

And I'm not buying the not enough time excuse they've blatantly sacrificed consumer functionality for scripted storylines and events that would most likely be broken if we we're to edit our own roster or create our own rookies in mass
See that's going overboard on the scripted storylines. I think we can all agree that Phil and Jim are upgrades over Chris & Gus, and we all wanted the game, and the commentary team(no matter who it was) to recognize what was going on in Franchise Mode. Current Season records, injuries, who can make the playoffs, who's in contention for a playoff spot, and what happens in Free Agency and the draft. The way it currently was that you could cut Peyton from the Colts and the game wouldn't recognize it and wouldn't know that he was on the Broncos. They wouldn't know that some rookie QB is taking over for Peyton.

THAT was what we wanted when we asked for story lines. All we wanted was for them to put something in so that commentary recognizes what is going on in your Franchise, we didn't want it so that it was so scripted that even editing rosters would throw it all off!

EA over did the whole storyline addition. If we can't edit rosters because it will break the storyline in CC then that makes CC even more useless. All we wanted was it for the game to track what was going on at all points, not this scripted to a tee stuff.

... and I have no doubt it will happen. A big name in your team or in another with a different number because is attacked to a inexpressive player.

Did you see the pics and the amount of details in the prospects they have made for CC? Now, you draft that rookie you scouted all year and(in my case a beastly MLB) you canīt put the number you like or a black visor?

I canīt remember the last Madden that I didnīt draft a monster at the middle and put the number/equipment I wanted and played with him until he retire.

This is unreal...will be the first year that I can remember where I won't be buying Madden or NCAA. I'm glad I have other games that can keep me entertained.

He's Lead and set the Standards/Thresholds to follow.

I'm quite sure it's not a bunch of Dev-heads rating as they see fit.

Just don't see them debating each Dev's perspective on what such-n-such player should be rated within the "Short Window" they always say they're under.

So in essence, his perspective as the Crowned Guru for rosters is what is released as Default Rosters.

Again, not a bash, but just wording the history of Default Rosters the best way can.
