Worries me as well. It is easy money. The DB's give a TON of cushion in man and in zone, no one drifts back to cover the curl.

I posted it right after you posted yours, lol.

Are you using a small, standard TV? Apparently, if you don't have an HD TV, the ticker won't show up for you.

The more I play the demo, the more impressed I am by how smooth everything feels. I know NCAA doesn't have the Infinity Engine, but the devs definitely did some tweaking with the animations, as I'm seeing all sorts of cool new stumbles, tackles, etc. On top of that, the added pass trajectories and catching animations are simply fantastic.

The game is playing wonderfully so far, IMO. I'm very excited for release.

I've been playing the demo a lot. I'm getting better with the passing game. I've gotten to the point where I can no longer play NCAA 12. I about broke my controller last night because of how cheap the passing game is. The new passing system is awesome. I can't wait for NCAA 13 to come out so I can stop playing NCAA 12.

Looks like CPU quarterbacks still don't get called for 'Intentional Grounding'. I've seen it twice so far as soon as the ball is snapped and it hasn't been called.

Re: NCAA Football 13 Demo Is Out, Post Your Impressions Here

played the demo after getting back from vacation:

Heisman mode is trash, i used max payne mode 2-3 times, WHAT A WASTE - we already had a casual mode, (RTG) why another? i've played all heisman crapage i'll ever play

i've seen enough of the studio updates after the first quarter, you need to go to the studio every time TCU kicks a FG?

running is hard, i've seen OL pull , stop and turn around to see my HB run into them and get tackled for a loss

they made matt barkley look like loser matt hasselbald, LOL

i really like the passing, with some sliders this can be a good game

if and it's a BIG IF, dynasty is broken like last year

oh yeah, the QB stats look like garbage, i saw 12-31 from Brantley among other bad ones

Re: NCAA Football 13 Demo Is Out, Post Your Impressions Here

To me, the game plays with more authority -- smoothness, whatever you want to call it. It feels overly familiar, but that's OK with me.

Perhaps I'll have more interest once I'm playing a "real" Dynasty, but for now those studio updates are obnoxious. You can click past the visual, but the guy keeps talking.

Someone please tell me these updates can be turned off -- or even controlled as to frequency, as with penalty sliders. I like the ticker, glad to have that back.

Still getting used to the down and distance going up in a nano-second. Cool.

Running game seems more difficult. QB still getting creamed on play action, but could be my fault (the read). Like the lobs, really surprised the first time that worked. Special teams an improvement on '11 and 12's awfulness.

Too much edge enhancement in the visuals. Starting with the silver ESPN graphics in the intro. At least the helmeted black players' eyes are no longer squiggly demonic when shown at midrange. Why does the grass seem to grow as you look at it?

Lots of little touches and tweaks in the animations. The crowd responses are nice, but need work, as pointed out numerous times in this thread.

Definitely a buy, but I won't buy week 1 in protest of last year's EA NCAA debacle.
