I liked the gameplay it felt like an updated version of last years game. The crowd still seems too quiet to me though. I played Oregon at USC and they rarely got loud or hyped up. I thought they were going to fix that.

They actually did. The crowd goes nuts when i see open field. Its pretty cool imo.

I felt like the game plays good and I enjoyed the demo and will buy the game. However, it's just nothing that's groundbreaking to me. I mean it doesn't feel like I'm playing a whole new game. It truly feels like a tuned up/refined version NCAA 12. Fine by me but disappointing at the same time.

I noticed this as well. Just for fun, I tried to run 5 slants plays in a row against USC.

1st pass- Completion
2nd pass- Drop
3rd pass- Completion
4th pass- Deflection
5th pass- Interception

I'm not sure if the defense "keyed" in on my play or anything, but it was nice to see that I only had about a 60% success rate (the drop should have been a completion) on a play that used to be mega-cheese.

I thought it played pretty good. As many have stated, I really like the passing and catching animations. Feels pretty smooth.
I also love the feature of aborting the PA if needed with the RT. Nice addition to help break you out of an animation.
I really hope you can customize the controller layout though. But that's pretty minor.
Going from my fully rerated roster in '11 I know I will have to make some tweaks, but again, I fully understand that we don't have access to the sliders.

I played the Demo, I enjoyed it. Thought some of the changes they made were very good. I feel this edition will be more of an offensive game especially with the trajectory passing. Also, if you have a mobile QB, you should be able to do some serious damage along with the trajectory passing.

Some plays worked very well some did not. The Power O the pulling guard rarely gets his block. A WR screen, the blocking is hit or miss, mostly missed. In contrast to last year’s game, you could set the screen up better by allowing the rush in. That doesn’t matter so much on this year’s version.

As a defensive minded guy, I wish there could have been some fluidity changes with the defensive guys like the offensive guys. I am interested to see how the defense will perform on Heisman level. I like the way the blitzes are design especially the zone blitzes in the nickel and dime formations. Secondary play could be a bit smoother in terms of breaking on the ball with the cornerbacks.

NCAA Football 2013 is a definite buy IMO. There is more good with the game than there is bad. EA put out a great product this year. Can’t wait to get my copy.

Re: NCAA Football 13 Demo Is Out, Post Your Impressions Here

I thought I'd add my 2 cents as well. I've been playing this game since 98, and I liked 12, in fact I'm still playing 12. It took me a long time to find sliders that made the game play well for me, but I've had some great games.

After playing the demo I've noticed the following I liked:
- I like the new passing trajectories;
- I play as a D lineman, and I do notice a difference in the line interaction, I don't feel as helpless when engaged with the O-line, I've been able to dis engage and make plays, get sacks, knock down qb, etc.
- CPU offence was pretty good, and I didn't see them try too many of those screens that result in an automatic sack for me like in 12;
- New animations look good;
- I like the score updates.

I didn't like the following:
- Certain cut scenes on PS3 look very jaggy and worse than 12 IMO;
- The crowd is brutal, Alabama is driving on me late in a tie game, and when their offence is coming to the LOS it is dead quiet, it is 2012 now and they still haven't added a decent stadium atmosphere to this game;
- The defense may not be psychic, but they now have superhuman closing speeds in coverage;
- I think the blurr effect takes away from the visuals.

Overall I like the game, it's fun to play, but it just doesn't appear to be enough of an upgrade to make me want to spend the 60 bucks and waste weeks trying sliders again. I'm going to stick with 12 I think. If I had skipped 12 I would definitely buy this game, maybe 14 will be enough of an upgrade.

Coverage wise it seem the LB will take the WR down the seem. My only problem with that was that Bama's ILB was stride for stride my WR and I couldn't put it over the top because the QB has a noodle for an arm.
