Re: NCAA FOOTBALL 13 DEMO IMPRESSIONS

Forced my first punt. The punt return setup was very nice.

First off, motion blir is not apart of gameplay. Just like the grass last year was only presentation, so is motion blir.

The game runs much differently than NCAA 12. Much smoother. The players play more off of a 'read and react' basis.

Have not seen any phsychic DBs.

New animations are in

Crowd Chants/ Stadium Sounds are in

The new passing game is a huge improvement.

No superman LBs so far, but i have seen a few make some athletic, realistic plays.

My overall impression is that this game is better than NCAA 12.

Re: NCAA FOOTBALL 13 DEMO IMPRESSIONS

my feedback is only on the CPU.

Punters still have no AI awareness IMO.

QB seems to scramble with a purpose right now....(But they did in last years demo aswell til EA released the patch).

I still haven't really seen CPU RB's react much different from last year with the ball.

I've seen some nice looking plays in the passing game by the CPU but it's hard to tell if they use those new catch animations because the situations didn't call for it so far.

acceleration by DT's is still insane IMO....not sure if it's because the game speed is not on slow. But the DT's seem to get a burst of speed when chasing the QB.

I also wish EA would include the same passing game ratings they have for Madden in NCA because you can't really tell the difference between QB's on the deep ball or medium pass.

I switched off between teams using Baylor and Kansas St test playing both CPU offenses.

later on I'll try the USC matchup and focus only on both CPU teams.

Re: NCAA FOOTBALL 13 DEMO IMPRESSIONS

Just played as USC and here is what I noticed...

The new passing is real nice. No more lob passes that have punt trajectories.

The players move more fluid like and not as robotic as before.

The QB runs happen fast as Oregon's QB gashed me for 28 yards on a read/zone run.

You can run fade routes at the goal line much easier due to the new trajectories and much easier to user catch the ball.

I usually play on slow speed so it feels like everyone drank a 24 pack of redbulls right now.

Nice diving tackle to stop their receiver after he caught it on the run on a Go route.

One thing that still needs work imo is the option play (not read option). Still only getting those one yard gains even with the proper decisions by the CPU.

The juke actually works pretty well for cutbacks. Had no room to the outside but managed to get 4 yards by cutting the other direction.

Re: NCAA FOOTBALL 13 DEMO IMPRESSIONS

I feel like they tightened up the locomotion from last year. It felt very easy to overrun plays last year, but this year there's more control while still retaining the feel and look of last year's locomotion system.
