I'm going based on the last couple years from 2k and it has been the same gameplay engine as well. Most would agree 2k11 is better than 2k12. Anyone can speculate and assume that one game is going to come close or out shine another. It's what people, fans, and critics do best. Predictions are always posted on this site even before the game is out or anyone has played it.

If you want to protect a brand then that's fine, but people assumed failure for Live for many years and others for NBA 2k. It goes around....its a trend. It's brought up because its there. You can't question assumptions and beliefs because its to each his own. Many people flag Madden, Baseball games and other Genres before seeing gameplay and vise versa. Other people are posting the same thing, but I find it funny that I'm singled out for expressing myself and being unbiased. Lol

I know what I'm getting when it comes to 2k basketball but I have no clue what Live is going to be. From what I've read they had a good 2 years to create a solid game instead they worked on Elite with the regular dev cycle. Yeah it's nice that Live is back and all but just reading how they squandered those two years.....man my expectations for that game is very LOW.

So I really don't think 2k is "scared" of Live since they have a solid product in there hands. The gameplay clip this Monday will no doubt look no different from 2k12 and I'm ok with this.

Also glad that 2k haven't abandoned the PC market like EA did (sports wise). Even though some features don't make it to the pc version........

Gameplay....? Wow... I'm looking forward to the video.... BUT will be EXCITED when they start talkin about new features, and if crew will be in the game, or they start talkin about online this year.... Go 2K...

LMAO, at that failure of a franchise that is Live popping up in every thread that is made about the King 2K. Like the honest posters that are not fanboys have posted. There is absolutely nothing that points to Live being anything close to 2K anytime soon. 2K has been the better game for over a decade. Explain how EA is just all of a sudden going to change all of that by taking a break. This is EA's biggest marketing scheme yet. Take something away from a person then give it back and see how much they missed it. Only a fanboy would get hyped by being toyed with and used as a tool.

As for 2K, I am looking forward to all the info to come out including the gameplay on Monday but I agree it will not be groundbreaking. I don't expect anything groundbreaking from any franchise until the next cycle of consoles honestly.

I just hope -- with all my heart -- that 2k gets back to sim and leave the casual stuff to the other game. I love when a video game causes me to use strategy to win instead of 'running and gunning'.
