Madden NFL 13 to Feature Trey Wingo of NFL Live

I really have no clue what connected careers could be. I am just really hoping they add some nice additions to franchise mode and port all the functionality over to an on-line franchise mode as well....

It would be awesome if this was for in game updates, etc like NCAA 13 is doing. Also hope it is tied to dynasty in moving from week to week, with information and stories from the happenings around your dynasty league. The tidbit someone posted above from the Madden website, seems to hint at this.

Maybe a weekly wrapup or some sort of in-game studio updates like NCAA just announced. But not halftime.

Somewhere on one of these impressions here on OS (or maybe even the actual webcast) its already been stated that Madden's halftime is pretty much a stat rundown by Jim Nantz. But no actual Halftime Show.

That's not neccessarily true though because it seems like this capture with Trey Wingo is just now happening. I know for a fact that the guys at Community Day last time were only playing "Play Now" and not the other game modes. It may be something they decided to add when they saw or heard people were disappointed that we weren't getting a true studio halftime show. It also could be something for Franchise Mode only like NFL Live or NFL Primetime, or a halftime show, in game updates and NFL Live/Primetime is what I'm dreaming of.

As long as we're getting some sort of studio show every week to keep us updated and immersed in our Franchise, it doesn't matter to me if it's a studio halftime show or if it's just a new montage with stats analysis and keys to the 2nd half. Mike Young did say they are adding some of the team intros and stuff to the halftime montage, which is a pretty cool way of implementing the team intro's and represents what you see on Sunday.

Yeah it is. I was thinking with the way they overhauled commentary this year and the presentation, even including a virtual Nantz and Simms it would lead to something bigger in the future. If they found a way to not only overhaul commentary and incorporate some kind of half time show or even in game updates, then props to the whole Madden team.

I thought since they were going with CBS, and if there are in game updates we would hear Phil and Jim say, "We have a game breaking update in Chicago where the Bears have took the lead against the Lions, let's go to James Brown in New York."

I agree. Halftime would be nice. But whatever they're gonna do with Trey Wingo has me pretty excited.

Interesting. As an aside of sorts, Wingo is one of the few ESPN NFL guys I don't mind.
