Okay, I think I would be okay, but would like to confirm.

I am at April 30 in my franchise, I did not d/l patch 1.06. If I d/l patch 1.16, I should be okay right? They fixed the issues re: playing against the Royals, Marlins etc. right? I have played the Royals.

On the other hand, I am past the all-star break in my RTTS and would have to start that over, correct?

If my franchise is okay, I may d/l the patch as I don't mind starting RTTS over, though I may just wait to see when/if this all gets sorted out.

As far as I have read, all your statements are correct.

I play the games to the day on the calendar.
I just played the May 1 games last night (even the Royals) and I had no issues.

My impression of this patch? Worst. Patch. Ever. Deleted it and all other patches

Anyways, I finally downloaded this patch for my PS3, which I use primarily for franchise. I restarted my franchise and did a fantasy draft so I can't comment on that front that would be of help, but after reading that the freezing occurs with files past the all-star break regardless of what year it is, I'm considering downloading the patch on my brother's PS3, which has the RTTS files since they are all pre-all star break.

I haven't played much to get a real impression of the patch, since it is illogical to base things on a sample size of one game, but I noticed the little loading thing on the bottom right at certain times and a little hang-up/freeze when the game boots up (right at the SCEA San Diego plate logo).

Downloaded the patch, had my Cubs franchise freeze. So instead of unpatching and not being able to play online I started a new franchise with the A's.

Played the first game and it freezes once again at the "player of the game" screen. I had this problem before, and turning the auto-save off helped remedy it, but once again with the auto save off it froze again.

This game is garbage.

My cloud save will not advance now and I am in August.

I cannot play the next game, I cannot sim, I think it's pooched.

This is on the VITA and the PS3.

I'm going to try and delete the patch data and see if that improves anything.

I'd like an honest answer here on behalf of my brother (my love-fest with the game prompted him to pick up 12 yesterday).

He wants to know if he's be better off DL'ing the latest patch and starting a new Franchise or going completely 'Non-patched' like game was release out of the box?

He could probably safely do either, but since we don't know what 1.05 addressed, I don't know what to tell him?

From everything I've seen / know it would be better for him to download all the patches if he's starting a new franchise.

The main issues seem to stem from those of us who had franchise files dating before the 1.06 patch and RTTS seems to be fubared in all sorts of situations.
