I would hope that the lit up icons mean the receiver is expecting the ball at that point in the route or is able to make adjustments based on you adjusting the throw (leading, etc). Otherwise if it's dimmed and you throw it behind the WR they don't react properly (if at all) and you could potentially hit a trailing defender in the numbers instead.

This could then be influenced by being jammed, contact within 5 yards, and even PI/illegal contact.

What exactly is the key for when the icons light up?

Is it when the WR is starting his break on a route (say an in/out or slant/post)? Is it when they come open? Is it tied to QB and/or WR ratings?

More importantly, what is the rationale behind them? If it is tied to ratings, will it be a situation where a QB/WR combo with low awareness have the icon light up early/late causing timing issues?

I guess I'm curious how this new system ties to the game itself. Because if it is not tied to ratings or on field action, then it is no better than the squiggly lines and icons disappearing for home field advantage.

i loved what i heard but not what i saw,

the LSU DB mirrored in the 2 clips he was in.

but overall its looks good i saw some nice catches, hopefully they really work on those DB's because the man coverage in the clip was bad......

I don't buy into anything that was said, the game looks exactly like 10, 11, 12, and now 13 will look EXACTLY the same and play 99.9% the same also. YAAAAYYYYYY 60 bucks for same rehash we bought last year with stuff that should of been fixed in a patch!
Excellent post! That video was complete garbage. It's a shame we can't have a great college football game this gen.
