hmmm interesting, I was thinking about skipping this year, I've always been impressed by the graphics but the gameplay issues have always been there. Hopefully EA has it together this year. If everything continues this way i'm sure i'll be buying this game again.

Re: NCAA Football 13 Video - No More Psychic DB's, 25 Different Pass Trajectory Zones

After carefully looking at the video multiple time. They're somethings that I like and somethings that I don't like.

The new QB drop backs are cool but I guess they thought that was more important than new run animations...

@ 13:33 the pass and catch is fine but the tackle doesn't make any since... You have a WR running straight or doing a post route down the field then catches the ball in stride then gets stood up??? Momentum is still is not much a of factor here.. Yes he should get tackled but the defender stood him up like as if he was walking down the field instead of "running" a route. not game breaking flaw but just one of the things that when added with other unrealistic elements make this game not look like football but look like EA's Brand of football..

That "juke" move the RB #22 @ 13:43 is considered IMO a arcade move. Why okay I'll break it down. Simply put the juke move in EA football gaming is like a super/special move instead of strategic move... the defender is running at the RB on a angle, the RB is running the opposite angle (FINE by all that) but when the juke move is triggered the RB jukes to the exact SAME angle AND DIRECTION of that the defender is running.. The defender stumbles off balance..??? lol In real life the defender would have continued his pursuit and made a better attempt to tackle the ball carrier. Remember not game breaking but could be annoying and very unrealistic..

STILL STILL ONLY single man blocking on pass plays... No double team blocking ON PASS PLAYS. "Note" dbl team blocking is not one blocker blocks a defender as his team mate stands next to him as the defender is passed off to that team mate then blocks. Dbl Team blocking is TWO team mates are engaged in one single block on one defender AT THE SAME TIME... In fact the blocking looks largely the same as last years....

I LOVE LOOOVE the fact you will have to wait for the icon to be lite for you to throw the ball at your WRs. Thats good and adds more strategy to the defense FINALLY! The only thing that worries me is did they fix NANO blitzing? Dont get me wrong NANO blitzing does exist in real football, yup. But its defendable if (you) the coach or the QB can see it. But I do love this addition.

I will wait for he NO more physic DBs quote to see if thats true.

I love the players on the field looking for the ball a lot more when its up in the air.

I like some of the new animations.

Love the fact if you are rolling to the right you then throwing to the left you lose arm strength but I think I heard that before so we have to wait on that.
I actually made video about that and got flamed hard for it on youtbe.
Search Mike Vick Challenge...

Overall cool stuff but I got to wait until I play the demo but im still not too impressed... I do like some things but really ALL of this has been in other fball games before. ALL of it and WAY MORE I mean WAY MORE.

The tackling is so embarrassing, how can it be this bad? They had something with Pro-Tak, it just needed refinement. At least there were true gang tackles, unreal that they went away from that. There has to be a reason, regardless it shows they do a poor job in planning and implementation on an annual basis. If for some reason it wasn't going to work, why did they use Pro-Tak in the first place?

I like these additions if they are legitimate and work as advertised, but we'll see about that. They tout the fact that throwing on the run will result in poor throws, but they only show doctored video of two separate instances, instead of one whole play of it in action. Pretty funny EA. Bah!

Hopefully Tuesday will finally put to rest much of the speculation concerning the gameplay footage and we will be able to truly identify whether or not this game is playable aside from the release of the demo. Things that I did notice from the video. being that, no one person has a definite if we saw footage from 12 or 13, the O Line seemed a little more refined with regards to blocking, instead of the O Lineman standing in a paralytic state, there was head movement and better footwork.

The Florida, Florida State game where the FSU player does a 360 away from the receiver was not good at all. That in no way what soever represented realistic football. It almost appeared as if there was a force field pushing him away from making a determined play.

Players still run robotic and choppy. Additionally, player models do not represent real life people. There should be a myriad of weight styles with regards to a person's body. Every human being wears and carries their weight differently. There should be more of a combination of players who weight the same, but have different fat and muscle in various areas of the body. This would definitely make a difference with regards to player momentum and strength.

Glad to see minimal footage, but until Tuesday arrives...SMH...

The same thing would happen to EA football that happened to NHL 2k, NBA Live, MLB 2k if competition was around. People would make their buying decision on the best product available.

This will be the first year I don't buy a single football game. I am truly so sick and tired of wasting my money every year that I am finally done. I will stick to the better sports games like MLB The Show, FIFA, and NBA2k. While I will miss football, I won't feel sick after I drop 60 bucks only to shelve the game couple weeks after.
I don't know about that, man. Going from NCAA 10 to NCAA 11 was a hell of a jump and I have to say I was pretty satisfied with that game (at the time) despite it's flaws.

NCAA 12 and other previous versions are a completely different story though.

Field Intelligence
Arm Strength
Short Accuracy
Med Accuracy
Long accuracy
40 time
Cone Drill
Injury
Consistency
Stamina

10 ratings, these are the only ratings we need for QB, I don't care what his hit rating is, or his block shed rating. We need a purging of ratings badly in my opinion.
Dont forget footwork

Some animations looked good, others looked awfully stiff. But I guess you can't expect it to be perfect. Definitely looked like an improvement for a change though.
