NBA Elite Name is History, NBA Live 13 is Coming

The name was really not that important. It's whether they can keep up or surpass 2K and at this point even becoming their equal in basketball is a tall order. They have to come up with ground breaking realism of some kind to compete with them. I'm a bit skeptical as to how this can be accomplished. Live was always a fun game. Personally I saw it as more of an arcade game than a simulation. But time will tell.

I think EA Sports will be pushing towards their sports videogames becoming sim in the future.

We don't know that yet, maybe in a couple of months when EA makes the game announcement.

there may be some hope of EA seeing a purchase from me, after 2k11 i thought i was done with EA bball games then i rented 2k12....

luckily i am having a blast with 2k11, and the year off has open to try a new product it seems.

glad they went back to live, elite was a horrible name.....

Couldn't have put it in better words. Maybe NBA Live 13 will be the test run the devs are seeking to be really well "trained" when the next generation of consoles arrive.

Having two basketball games will always be good for us, that makes the two companies compete, and competition makes them work harder (usually LOL) so the 2013 Basketball season for games should offer an interesting panorama.
