These have all been previously answered. So excuse my copy/paste as I'm not trying to be rude.

-- im curious on the setup of the leagues?
One full season of Gridiron Heroes lasts 28 days, with every team playing one league game every day—and for every game, you can watch a live simulation (for now**). At the end of the season, the top four teams qualify for the next season's Derby, and the top seven teams progress to the next level. In order to win matches, you need to have top-tier players on your team—either by acquiring them from the market, or by bringing them up yourself.

** - Gridiron Heroes is currently a team-manager GM-style simulation. As we grow, this will become a full-blown live multiplayer scenario. Start working on your D-pad thumb now!

Private leagues are an expansion being looked into but will not be a part of the main game. You will still play and build your team through the normal method but would be able to play in a separate private league with an optional handicap setting.

Yes and maybe.

Players have a career-span and age over time.

Player acquisition can happen a few ways.
1) FA list
2) A farm-type system. You can receive up to 2 new players each season and this can be accelerated when upgrading your training facilities.

A draft-type model is something we have been messing with as well. With our league structure, it will be interesting to find balance for this and to see if it works.

I hope you guys make it harder to acquire/develop elite players than it currently is in Madden.

After only one or two seasons in Madden, you can have an entire team of 80-99 overall rated players with A and B potential.

The game of football becomes a lot more strategic when you have less star power to work with.

Balancing will all be part of the beta.

i think a draft system would work great with a private league.

I agree but with how the player distribution works it would have to be implemented into the main 14 or 16 team league.

An automated draft based on need would make the most sense for the beginning.

You set the parameters of need:
QB
DB
OL

and it would draft in order of rating and/or potential.

So there is a "potential" rating ala Madden that determines player progression?

Or is player progression based more on the season statistics players earn?
