Re: SSX Review (360/PS3)

Was able to install this game a couple of hours ago, and this game has way more ups than downs, but it has a few downs in terms of course design at times. Sometimes this game feels like it has so much "exploring" going for it, and other times you just feel so constricted to a couple of things to do. When that happens, the courses really start to lose their personality. At least with a game like SSX Tricky, you always knew where you were and identified with the course that you were on.

Anyway, I just love when I get Super Tricky or whatever it's called. The colors get so vibrant and the remixing is awesome. Gives me chills that SSX: On Tour couldn't ever give me with Monster Tricks.

I want to leave more impressions but so far I'm going away in love with this. I wonder how long/short it is in the end though, since I'm already in the third area after a couple of hours. I know there are like zillions of things to unlock, but in the other games you would do things by character, not just as a general global tour with all of them at the same time.

Anyway, the one thing I just wish this game had was some sort of massive mountain that would take 20 minutes to get down like On Tour had. That was always fun to ride down.

Got this for 360, having a blast. Did enough of world tour to unlock Explore mode. Now just levelling Zoe and flying around.

Wasn't going to get this, but my wife watched the xgames this past month and saw thr commercial. Came home and she was on the ******* game she bought when I was at work. Sonofabitch.

Anyway. The deadly descent idea is cool and all I like the tour mode and different feel of the drops the ridernet idea is sweet, just got a few diamond wins and my wife got some on some survival runs...now she wants me to make her a seperate profile on my ps3 because she's pissed she has to use and I quote "your ****** avatar and username when I win". Oh well. Still godsdamn pissed at no local mp so I can show her what 4 but whatever.

Re: SSX Review (360/PS3)

Here is my problem..I use the sticks and frankly go to spazz out mode and just twist my little asian girl around until she lands. I have no freaking strategy yet and was wondering how you guys think this out.

I load my jumps, get the left stick dialed in before launching and then let go of RT. I have that down..after that I am just a total spaz..lol.

My best score so far is 13mm and I know I can do better if I figured out what I was doing in the air.
