The game had a franchise mode, a custom editor for all 32 teams, online play, minigames, etc.

Pretty much all the features you'd expect for a typical sports game.

The poor sales of the first game are the reason there's no true sequel to Backbreaker.

Or they could have used it to show developers of sports games what they can do with the engine because sports is the just about the only ones that don't use these engines. Also ain't Backbreaker the first game they created?

I hope so. I miss the competition, and I want to see the franchise succeed. I grew up on Live and finally gave it another change when 10 came out. I was optimistic, then the debacle of Elite happened.

If this game does come out the only way I would buy it is if it had College Basketball integrated into it in some fashion. I've been craving a new College Hoops game!
