The new presentation cuts and the new ball physics are game-changers. Perhaps I'm an easy one to please, but this hardly resembles '11 to me. It's like watching a REAL broadcast on TV!

My only complaint is how the User/Users playing in these clips were essentially throwing his or her pitches right down broadway! LOL! I understand that nibbling probably doesn't make for an easily digestible first in-depth look, but I would have liked to see how much more (or less) wild the new pitching interfaces are this time around (and how confidence impacts control in general this year).

Anyway, I'm floored. March 6th cannot come quickly enough.
You really think so? I think it is just like watching The Show from 08 or even like 06. Pshh yeah right. I totally agree, its like watching a game on tv. Hope these next 13 days fly by.

My personal preference is to mute the announcers. This would even include if I were to win a grand prize of having John Sterling and Susan Waldman broadcast a one of a kind copy of the game; one made just for me!

I'd give that one to Brett/42. Maybe Nemesis if he was playing nice. LOL!

But to answer your question, I'm not irritated by the announcing at all. It's informative enough, it flows, and has plenty of surprises if you play long enough. Is it perfect? No. I'd prefer more banter myself. But I find announcing distracting in general, so I'm probably not an ideal person to ask.

My strategy of staying away from seeing too much info/screenshots to keep down my excitement has paid off...until now! The four gameplay videos posted yesterday have me SO pumped up for 12! Thank goodness there are only a couple of weeks left.

I would of like them to add a "Wind" indicator to the overlay screen somehow . The wind does change direction too during a game not sure if they had that in the game .

It could of made a difference on that home run possibly ..

Here's my synopsis:

PROS -

Fantastic graphics! Crowd, lighting, players, stadium are all stunning (As usual).
Game play and ball physics look right on.
LOVE the new ball-off-bat and mitt sounds!
Replay graphics are fresh and cool-looking.
Faces and stances have life and are convincing.
Some new stat overlays.

CONS -

Commentary still dry, boring, and stiff. I just don't know if I can take another year of the same audio...Ugh
No dirt on unis after infielders dive in the dirt.
Batting cursor is worse this year.

Nevertheless, I'm still looking forward to a new season of MLB!!!

Unis do get dirty.

Batting cursor was changed (visually) to be more indicative of the loss of contact as you get away from the sweet spot. You can turn it off as always.
