I'm gonna answer this, as much as I intend to remove myself from further discussions.

From what I've read, and I mean only what I've read...maybe it's untrue...there's to be policing on people selling DD cards for too much money...and from creating DD logo's that are obscene (based on who's criteria?). So it's possible to police things like this, but not cheating in online games modes? C'mon..?!

I could write a script that flags potential cheaters easily. Based on what I've heard that online games will be played thru a central server. Then if you are saving game stats, it should be easy to write a script, run it once a week, and report the results to someone to verify and make a decision on people abusing the mode.

But then again, I suppose that is it easier to employ someone to look for a team logo that resembles a penis.

What about making the games against people on one´s friendlist unranked in the future then? People could compare their teams against the teams of their friends without cheating their way up the ranks that way!

I have always used stats to gauge whether an online player is "legit" or not in 11... for example I weeded out those with very high SB/CS numbers since that indicates someone who constantly early steals on every pitch. I hated that mostly because it slows down games too much, not to mention it's not so realistic to see so many early steals within a game.

But whether such a player is "legit" can still be subjective. After all, early steal is a legit game mechanics. If the game allows a certain move, why is a gamer not supposed to use it, you know what I mean? So policing can only go so far IMO... Something like deliberate pulling would become easier to detect on the client server system now, but whether a gamer plays fairly or not... it could take needless amount of human resources.

With more ways to filter players, things will be okay...

I think the issue is that for some reason, there's this notion about online gaming that gamers want to be ranked in one and only one universe... to do that everyone needs to be fairly randomly matched against players coming from a wide spectrum of play styles, even if some of them don't care at all about being ranked, just want to play the game certain ways... and that's the culprit.

Re: MLB 12 The Show Fact Sheet

I'm really looking forward to this years game and all the things they've fixed/added but I'm very disappointed to see (or so it seems) that they still don't have dome stadiums that work. Maybe it's not a big deal to most but if your someone like me who plays a Jays franchise it's annoying to play two thirds of your home games in cold temperatures. ( Oh ya another thing, it shouldn't be 40 degrees in June in Toronto, weather needs to be fixed.)

I know it's a small detail but this game prides itself on the little things that make the game so life like yet this issue they keep ignoring.
