I knew Top Spin 4's gameplay would be hard to beat since this was the first game I played where I could apply real tennis strategies, and the rhythm of the game felt close to a live tennis match.
When they announced this game, I was excited about it. After seeing the videos, and playing the demo numerous time, I was disappointed. You're right about the strokes, they just don't feel right. Most of them look awkward. The running animation reminds me of NBA Live/Elite, it looks like they are "crouch running". The controls are responsive, but it doesn't look ORGANIC like they say.

That said, I'm skipping this game. I actually purchased TS4 on Amazon for 20 bucks. That should satisfy my Tennis game itch.
