I suck, its been a long time.

I had fun playing some tonight. I need to play a little more to see if I want to buy it. I really hate the accelerated clock, they need to give us the ability to change it. I feel like you have to throw way too much because of that.

I LOVE playing with A. Silva. Can't wait to take him into the PRIDE Ring.

i still suck with the new submission system. Any tips on how to move the thing around quicker? It doesn't seem to move around as fast as i am moving the joystick so the cpu catches up with me a lot. The refs also stop the fights a little too quickly when you're pounding a guy or being pounded.

Re: UFC Undisputed 3 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (360, PS3)

First off, Bas is awesome! Loved him in MMA, love him in this demo...

Just some quick feedback on the demo..........................

I'm a huge boxing fan so Pride was always going to get my attention. The presentation in this mode is nice. From the fighter announcements, fighter introductions, over the top laser displays, etc, etc... Really reminded me of when I followed Sefo and Hunt.

Player models look unchanged with maybe some minor tweaks but they look the same to me. In saying that, I never really played 2010 so my comparisons are more connected with 2009.

The gameplay also feels the same but it seems something has changed?! It's more fluid and the speed to everything happening in the ring has a nice blend. It is still very much a arcade game, so there will be more to the over-all product that I won't like., i'm guessing.

All in all, the demo is a good indication of what we'll see from the complete game! Unfortunately, the arcade aspect of this game will keep this game a rent only title for me, and EA's MMA will continue to do the rounds in my 360...

Demo: 7/10

I'll say one thing..

I really hate the reversals..

It reminds me of the WWE game...

The ground game needs a tune up.

agreed jukeman.

Someone else mentioned Wandy seemed slower than Page and I agree, it seems like he's walking around in mud when you move him but Im thinking the game will be tweaked for the final build. The nice thing about the 2 year release as opposed to the yearly title is that hopefully it will be pretty fine tuned on the final version - fingers crossed

Re: UFC Undisputed 3 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (360, PS3)

Here are some of my complaints...

as others have said, the ground game needs improvement. The ground game is essentially, fight for transitions and when you do get a chance to pop out of a tight guard, throw some shots and hope they rock the guy. In real life if someone has side control he doesn't just lose it within 2 seconds of not throwing a punch. You can't be in a certain position, throw a couple punches, rest, throw a couple more punches. The moment you stop throwing or fighting for position you lose your position right away.

I'm starting to get annoyed with the spinning back fists. It's too easy or too much a part of Jon Jones and Anderson Silva's game. A fighter doesn't throw 10 spinning back fists in a fight but in this game you can throw 10 easily per round. I know i'm the only controlling the type of punch but the problem is that the controls to throw spinning back fists are so easy to hit with the controller even if it's not my intention.

This isn't so much a complaint but i asked in a previous post for tips with the new submission system and how you move around that octagon quicker. I haven't figured it out and with no tutorial to try out i'm struggling with it. There will be too many times i either get stuck in one spot or it's moving so slow. When i do get it moving quickly i have no idea how i am doing that so any advice would be appreciated.

The last thing is referee stoppages. There are more situations than not where the ref ends the fight too soon. They added the swaying on the ground but it doesn't seem they took that into account when it comes to refs ending the fight. It's one thing if the guy is rocked and in a bad position taking shots. But i had a fight where Wanderlei knocked me down, was standing holding my legs trying to continue to land shots to my face but i was covering up and swaying from the punches so they weren't really landing but even so the ref still stopped the fight when i was clearly ok. It's happened too often.
