You are not going to see 3D grass.

That is a gimmick. Yeah I said it. Because it is only 3D in replays, and in those replays the game engines take a hit and run at 30fps or less.

So that becomes an eyesore. Also those games that do have it do NOT have the lighting, crowd or texture fidelity The Show's API has, which is similar to Uncharted's etc. Hell some of them sports games run less than 720p upscaled as well.

There is also MUCH more going on in a baseball stadium than cookie cutter soccer or football stadiums.

They plan updating the field textures/patterns next year however. But what you ask for with what is already going on would be safer bet for the PS4.

I didn't expect it any sooner. I can't even imagine how this game would look with newer generation hardware.. It would probably be mind blowing though.

Has SCEA ever thought about or considered keeping the focus on the ball for a split second as it leaves the bat instead of the immediate switch to the fielding cam?

It's been brought up numerous times, but they have a strong belief that is lowers your reaction time while fielding to a considerable amount that it is not worth the delay.

Though, if you watch the videos, it seems as though we get a few more frames in than we have in previous years I don't even think we technically got to see the ball make contact in the past. This time it's pretty much transition right upon the frame where the ball meets the bat. I'd personally like to see a few frames more (especially for the pitcher broadcast cam), but if they are going to change it more, this was at least an adjustment for the better.

You could only do this from the batting cam not the pitching cam.

Don't get me wrong everyone is right to their opinion. It just seems a lot of these people sound like they are "threatening" Sony to not buy the game.

And I just find that funny lol

Its the "threatening" that I am talking about. Of course you have a right not to buy it. But do they have to keep "threatening" Sony?
